Hallencup 05 - who cares...?
Die Rapid, obviously, unlike FAK. This should be the end of indoor football in Austria, ultimately.

I don't really care, I think it's a suicidal move by FAK though. Either care about the tournament or don't play at all. To deliberately field a 3rd league squad + Papac, Kitzbichler, Safar in Austria-jerseys and let them get slaughtered by Rapid's first team is not exactly honorable but rather disgraceful towards their own fans.

Breaking contracts wouldn't be any better.
It was obvious for weeks, that we would field such a team - bad luck for those who didn't inform themselves before buying tickets.

In fact it could turn out to be a bright idea, depending on the outcome on Sunday (with Austria Amateure not playing any more).

Rapid's new defender Valachovic broke his leg and is out for two or three months. Sorry for the player, but I had to laugh when I heard about that. Any more criticism on the FAK-squad...?

I don't see why that injury would change anything.
The fact remains that the club signed up for a tournament and went there with a Mickey Mouse-team. If a team is scared about injuries in an indoor tournament (I can understand for example why FavAC didn't take 36 year old Thomas Weigl, who had cruciate ligaments 1 or 2 years ago, to the Dusika-tournament, that's a valid decision), then why compete in first place? I see no sense in dressing up youth players, who are not up to the task yet, in violet and watch them getting trashed by my biggest rival team.
Just because Palme+co. are killing the tradition of the Hallencup doesn't mean one has to help them with that.

Agree with Michi there, that's just an argument against indoor football in general. Getting the bones of your greatest talents broke isn't too good either, if you take Nachwuchsförderung serious.

You're sure looking dumb now with your "dishonorable FAK sends own youth to the slaughterhous"-propaganda, Paul. ;)
No really, congrats, I love being wrong when it turns out this way. :)

Disappointing end (for FAK) to an overall satisfying tournament with the unexpected derby-win; definitely embarrassing for Rapid.

Sidenote: Tirol - Rapid with referee Sowa (from Vienna!) and Rapid's winner probably after the final whistle...

The "real" Hallenkick was won (as usual :D) by Austria Vienna's legends, 3-2 in the final against Vienna, who kicked Rapid out of the final.

Hehe, that's what I waited for. Perfect ending to the tournament. :D

I wonder how Mattersburg - after one and a half years of solely trying to battle for points - now manage to play something like football. And I also wonder how they could win all their games. There were some really nice moves, but in between those clueless shots... :eekani:
