We've moved away from haiku to play-by-play announcing.

A haiku is a three line poem: the first line has five syllables (no more, no less); the second line has seven syllables; the third line has five syllables.

There are some other rules and conventions, but the 5 - 7 - 5 format is enough for our purposes.

For example, I could change Lazia's post and make it into a haiku:

A very beautiful dream.
Unfortunately ....
