Typical mass talking. If any of those players will leave (maybe he already knows something is going on), members are going to criticize someone else because they don't believe, after these casual words, it was Luís Filipe Vieira to let them go away when very probably he's one to profit himself with sellings.

i THINK WE'LL SEE a minimal amount of changes for the coming season in constrast to the last few years - hopefully with the aquistion of a few solid players that can perform.

I hope thats the case. IN the past its taken a while for the players to settle and we usually lose ground early on.

Agree on the youngesters/ but you got have a coach that believes on the youth movement. Jesualdo Ferreira and Queiros do. Jaime Pacheco he likes the players' mais maduros' with experience.

I guess you won`t sell Mantorras yet since he hasn`t had a very good season but average....

Thats good for you he will become very good next year and a great asset...I hope he will end up playing at The Nou Camp in Barcelona in a few years time wearing the no 9 jercey Kluivert is wearing at the moment...

Good luck next season...

Peixe Agrees To Join Benfica
News Archive

04/30/2002.

Lisbon giants Benfica have finally succeeded in their bid to sign fringe Portuguese international Emilio Peixe from Alverca.

The hard-working midfielder had been targeted by Benfica since before he transferred to Alverca, after a falling-out with his former club Porto in December 2001. A combination of logistics and politics, however, prevented the inevitable move to the Stadium of Light from going though at that time.

Peixe, 28, will put pen to paper on a three-year deal before the week is up, and will then officially become Benfica's second confirmed reinforcement for next season – Braga defender Ricardo Rocha being the other.
