It is a good move for both teams. He's a good player, but unfortunately he isn't better than any other Chelsea midfielder and at Villa he will get games.

i watched approx most of the team games last season .. he didn`t play so many games for chelsea , did he ?also , we don`t forget there some players who are better than him by far. so , it would be better for him to look for another team .

Aston Villa official website say that they have agreed a deal with us for Sidwell, pending to a medical. So, finally, goodbye Steve and good luck!

New Aston Villa signing Steve Sidwell has no regrets over his 12 months at Chelsea.

He told AVTV Online: "It was short and sweet at Chelsea. It was a great experience and I wouldn't have changed it for the world.

"I said to myself when the offer came in that I would rather go there and fail than not go there and say 'I could have played for Chelsea.'

:proud: I wish you the best luck in the world Steve.
