They're goin down like flies

Now Nuno has twisted his ankle. Reported to miss the rest of the season, and in doubt for W.C., though most reports are optimistic about him being fit for June 5.

We're not the only ones though. Can you imagine the English reaction to Beckham?

Even the most severe sprained ankles, as long as there is no tear, take only about 5 weeks with treatment and rest.

I hope so we really need him for the WC. As for Beckham all my friends were distrauhgt today at school and they're confidence seems to have dropped slightly. He will probably still make the WC though.

That's just it Pila, most doctor's say the pain should go down completely by the 10th day but this wasn't my case.

I sprained my ankle last year and it took an honest 6 months to heal. Sure, I was able to walk and run about without a problem but as soon as I did a Figo move I would quickly feel the pain again.

Still today my performance is affected by it.

No, not that performance Pila!:D

Fee-go - The reason for your long sufferin ain't the nature of the injury, but that we athletic amateurs don't take the time to treat and rehab the injury, nor do we take preventative measures like religiously tape the ankles, proper stretching etc. So we kamakazi'sts just strap on our boots and out we go re-aggrivate an old injury before it's even healed.

Sh*t! I've sprained ankles up the wazoo... which is why 10 years after I still suffer from it.

Well the pain might go away in 10 days or so, but the injury has a high risk of returning. Yesterday I was watching Figo play in the Champs Leage and he was doing good, great ball control.., same Figo. But when he tried to break away, he couldn't for some reason. I mean he wasn't as fast as he usually is yesterday. Hopefully its just a temporary thing, since he just recovered and he will be back to his own self. Hopefully Gomes can make a fast and speedy recovery.
