Goalkeeper Shorunmu Retires From International Football

06/21/2002. Nigeria's veteran goalkeeper Ike Shorunmu has confirmed he will be retiring from international football after 12 years with the Super Eagles.
The African nation is set to undergo massive changes as a number of high profile players have said they won't represent their country again after the failed World Cup campaign.
The 36-year old said: "I think 12 years in the national team is a long time. I have tried my best."
He joins Jay Jay Okocha, Sunday Oliseh, Victor Ikpeba, Finidi George and Taribo West in announcing their retirement.
