After the world cup qualifiers we now turn our attention back to club football. We welcome toni's 2nd favourite club, ssc napoli,:D:ppto the Marassi.Napoli lie in 11th spot just a point ahead of us in the standings. They had been in disastrous form this year but have managed to get 2 draws in their last 2 games with a notable 0-0 against milan on giornata 29.We have been very good at home this season and hopefully we will continue in the same vein.

Well done, fats.
Napoli without Lavezzi, Gargano and Maggio are definitely weaker, but in their last game (against Milan) I noticed a tangible improvement. Their most dangerous player right now is Mannini, on the left flank of their 3-5-2. He had already been crucial in the game Napoli-Sampdoria when he scored one goal and prevented the ball to cross the line of the goal of Napoli in another episode. Anyway, even without considering those episodes, he had a great performance. After his 1-year ban (for arriving late at the anti-doping test) has been suspended, he has come back even stronger, with the enthusiasm of a person who is born again.

Under Donadoni do Napoli still play a 3-5-2 or have they changed to a 4-4-2?
Donadoni has started with a 4-men defense in the game against Reggina but has moved back to the 3-men defense in the game against Milan.

Also why is there such a north-south divide in Italy??Is Napoli hated because their city and hence people are said to be "dirty"?
The reasons are historical: when Italy was "united", in the XIX century, the South was rather underdeveloped and soon the so called "questione meridionale", the economical and social question of the Southern Italy, was raised. Unfortunately after much more than a century that question has not been solved yet. Many southerners had to emigrate to the North of Italy or even in other countries in order to find a job and that generated intolerance and discrimination towards them. That said, the people from Napoli are different from the other Southerners, infact no one can stand them, not even the other Southerners, because they are cunning cheats.

This reminds me of last season and games with the likes of Atalanta. We lose away from home, but have no problems winning at home. Hopefully it'll be the same this year, and the form guide is definitely in our favour.. Napoli haven't really changed gear since Donadoni arrived and seem to just want the season to finish so they can re-group, while we're doing very nicely and scoring pretty freely with Cassano-Pazzini.

Obviously you never know in football, but I'll be annoyed if we don't win and finally lift ourselves up from 14th place, where we've been stuck for months.

I am wondering how this break will affect to our form? Before WCQ matches we were playing great football, I hope we still can do this :). Home game so definitely we are favorits. I also hope Cassano will prove Lippi how wrong is he not calling up Antonio to National Team.

Delvecchio makes his return to the squad after two months out. Stanke and Bellucci are injured. No idea what's happened to Da Costa.

Portieri. Castellazzi, Mirante.

Difensori. Accardi, Campagnaro, Ferri, Gastaldello, Lucchini, Raggi.

Centrocampisti. Delvecchio, Dessena, Franceschini, Padalino, Palombo, Pieri, Sammarco, Ziegler.

Attaccanti. Cassano, Marilungo, Pazzini.

The team should be the same as vs Torino, the only doubt is on the right, where Padalino is apparently a bit knackered after the internationals, and could be replaced by Sammarco, Dessena, or Raggi, with the latter favourite according to Il Secolo.

Ah, this Napoli is too bad not to be defeated but when the defenders can't mark the opponents every time there is a set piece... Let's hope in a better second half.
