Giants help out Fiorentina Monday 1 July, 2002
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Three of Italy’s biggest clubs have moved to help ease Fiorentina’s financial crisis.
Juventus have agreed to sign youngster Emiliano Moretti (pictured), while Milan and Inter have bought a half each of Luca Ceccarelli.
The Viola have not only netted themselves just over £5m but they will also be allowed to keep the youngsters on loan for the new season.
The initiative was started by Milan chief Adriano Galliani who wanted to help the debt ridden club.
He managed to persuade Juventus’ Antonio Giraudo and Inter President Massimo Moratti to help out.
Moretti, a defender, has been signed for just over £1.5m. While Ceccarelli cost the Milan clubs a combined £3.5m.
