Whats all this about the German NT players being forced to wear Adidas boots?

Apparently the contract with the DFB states that the players must be all attired in full Adidas items, including boots. If they dont they risk not being picked for the NT.

The players in question are Thomas Brdaric, Miroslav Klose, Frank Baumann, Thomas Hitlsperger, Timo Hildebrand, Jens Lehmann, Arne Friedrich, Dietmar Hamann and Christian Woerns.

Who can enlighten me on this issue?!

Well, some of these players have personal "boot-contracts" with other brands like Nike, Puma etc.

They want to play with their boots in the NT, too, but thats not allowed...

You'd think the DFB would want their players in the equipment that allows them to perform at their best. But the all mighty Euro is more important these days.
Players want their money from their contracts as much as the DFB wants money from Adidas, so no one is an angel in this situation.
