·VALENCIA, Spain, July 24 (Reuters)(DS) - AC Milan have offered Valencia 2,800 million pesetas ($15.71 million) for their midfielder Gerard, the player's agent said on Monday.
Jose Maria Orobitz, who represents the 21-year-old Spanish
international, said Gerard was ready to accept the offer, if Valencia agree to the price tag.
The Champions League runners-up had been hoping to receive
something closer to $20 million for one of the highest-rated young players in Spain.
Barcelona have also expressed an interest in re-signing
Gerard, who left the Nou Camp for Valencia in 1997, but they have yet to make a formal offer.
