VALENCIA, Spain, July 24 (Reuters)(DS) - AC Milan have offered Valencia 2,800 million pesetas ($15.71 million) for their midfielder Gerard, the player's agent said on Monday.
Jose Maria Orobitz, who represents the 21-year-old Spanish
international, said Gerard was ready to accept the offer, if Valencia agree to the price tag.
The Champions League runners-up had been hoping to receive
something closer to $20 million for one of the highest-rated young players in Spain.
Barcelona have also expressed an interest in re-signing
Gerard, who left the Nou Camp for Valencia in 1997, but they have yet to make a formal offer.

I hope Gerard comes to Milan, coz he's a highly-talented youngster who would be a good investment. He's slowly making his mark on the international scene, and he can fit in playmaker, goal assist, defend and he's good with headers. Check out his goals against Lazio during their last Champs League clash 1st-leg.
