First I want to say that I am not defending Galatasaray's board but just asking question.


In the last days many of you have been criticizing the board because of Sergen Yalcin's and Mondragon's transfer.This board hasn't done anything for the moment but they are already called amators or any other words.Isn't it a bit early to say such things?Özhan Canaydin brought back Fatih Terim and many were happy of it,but since because they didn't signed any player they are the worst!What made most of you angry after them is the departure of Sergen and the possible departure of Mondragon,both of them to Besiktas.

Sergen Yalcin's transfer:I really do think that Terim didn't wanted him to stay.First,two season's ago Terim took him out of the squad because of his attitude.Then since his comeback Terim kept saying that he wants a big name to wear the number 10 jersey,when he already had Sergen who could do it as he is playing in the right position.Also,it seems Galatasaray never really made an official offer to Siirt Jet-Paspor.Sergen first signed to Besiktas,before Besiktas had an agreement with Siirt Jet-Paspor.If we really wanted him then they could have try to make a better offer,no?They don't need to make a very high offer as Jet-Pa only wants $1.5 millions.Also a foreign player will be more expensive(higher fee and surely higher wages).It's why I think we never really tried to keep him.

Mondragon's transfer:much more complicate.It seems we really want to keep him and we signed a 4 years contract with him but Besiktas made a better offer to FC Metz.But I have some question about it.It is said that Besiktas made an offer of $2.750 millions when Galatasaray only made an offer of $2.5 millions.How come we can't pay $275 000,if we really want him?I am not saying that they don't want him but couldn't they raised their offer?
There is another option,maybe they know Mondragon won't join Besiktas(it is what he said before and he signed a contract with Galatasaray)and they are trying to low down the fee,or they don't want to put too much money on him.But then I think it's a mistake because Mondragon is a really good keeper and for less then $3 millions it is very cheap even if he is already 31 years old.

Also,I wanted to say that it's very easy for us to criticize the board but could we do better?Really we don't know anything about the financial situation and what's going on with the transfer.There is many rumors but are they true after all?So I think we should wait and see which players finally sign for Galatasaray before criticizing.Terim has been back for two weeks so I think it's quite normal it takes time before making any big transfers.

Yea thats the problem man. If you spend too much time you are not going to get anything. BJK got Mondragon, Sergen and Kaan Dobra. Fener got Washington and who did Gala get? In fact we sold two of our key players.

I dont really care about Sergen's departure that much but Modragon was very important. We can not get a high quality player like him and we can not play with Kerem.

So wat man. Lucescu has been in charge about the same time as Terim. And most of us knew that Terim was going to come back anyways. I am sure Canaydin and Terim knew that long time before us. Terim could have given his recommendations then.

Yes maybe.But in Galatasaray it is Terim who decides everything on the transfer.I don't think it is the same with Lucescu in Besiktas.And if you take a look who did they signed.They signed Sergen Yalçin,Serdar,Tolga,Zafer and Dobrowski.All this players are from the Turkish League.Galatasaray already signed Ümit Davala,Müslim and Cihan.And maybe other Turkish players.

And this Durust and Elmas dudes are such lieing bitches they say to us(fans) no need to worry we will sign 3 world stars but they can't even keep an already world star Mondragon how will they get 3. I don't expect them to sign Cisse, Kliuvert, Overmars, Rivaldo, Nesta, Saviola, Poalo Aimar and so on but at least keep Mondragon and they can sign Gourdiola, Effenberg, Zago, Aldair, Baggio and so on stars that are on free transfers I am fine with that but they haven't even done that they say they will get Djalminha he is $11 million were will they find this money when they can not even pay $2.75 million for Mondragon and they are chasing **** nazi asses like Jancker who hasen't even scored a single goal last season and he is worth $8 million just because he is in the German NT for the WC 2002. We should be searching in Africa and South America espiacilly in Argentina were there is a huge ecenomical crisis to find cheap young talent look at Bayer Leverkusen they found Ze Roberto Lucio from Brazil for cheap price and know all the big boys like Real Madrid and Bayern Munchen are after them. The board is acting so stupid and now I read Tuncay Sanli from Sakaryaspor is going to join Fenerbahce damn it we had already agreed a deal with him with the former board they can't even sign him!

My problem is not with who we sign, but with who we can't keep. i.e. Mondragon. And I'm gonna stop thinking about it until everything is certain. We're getting conflicting reports about where he'll play next season, that's gotten too much.

I'm no financial wizard and I know about the recession. But a team with Gala's reputation should be able to get enough money from Sponserships/endorsements, Champions League, transfers, etc to keep afloat. It's not like we're signing World Class players every year (Real Madrid has a debt of approx' $150m). So where is the money going? Why do Fener & Besiktas seem to have more money? Where are the real problems?

Is the money being spent on the new stadium? Are the wages too high? Are we only capable of paying interest?

I realise we've signed some good Turkish talent already; and if they turn out to be like the Emre's, Okan's, etc. Then I'm sure we'll be delighted. However not if we lose money on them yet again, when they move for free.

I guess we need to wait and see. And disregard a lot of the bull from the media (we've agreed terms with about 40 players so far ).

Yes we should give them time Kubi but if we loose Mondragon I will be very pissed. It is very hard to find a goalie of his quality.

Everybody started to criticize differently, saying that They should have finish this long ago. I don't agree, I think that they have behaved like professional managers. They were calm and they had the last word, always.

I have always said that Mondi would stay. I have always trusted our board and approved their behaviour about this transfer.

But now I will critcize them but differently. They should build more on their relationship with media and fans. They should have given information , not only calming comments.
