Galatasaray was invited to G-14, an organization which regroups the biggest european clubs. Özhan Canaydin, Galatasaray president got a letter from Thomas Kurth, who is the president of G-14, inviting Galatasaray to the next meeting of G-14 on May 17th 2005 in Lisbon, 5 years exactly after the victory of Galatasaray in UEFA Cup. During the meeting, topics about the actuality of football industry will be discussed.

They claim to be representing clubs across Europe, whereas they sell the other clubs short and pretty much work towards helping themselves create and maintain a sort of monopoly over European club football..

Of course, by inviting clubs like GS into the "gang", they broaden their horizons and look more powerful, and in turn can make even more stupid demands..
(Of course, by saying "by inviting GS", I don't mean smaller clubs or to insult GS in anyway. I mean clubs from smaller and/or unrepresented leagues)..
