Yes it was nice but why does Nonda feel as he has to blast the ball no matter where he is. I remember a goal of his where he was about five feet from the net and he blasted it in with no direction, just making it underneath the crossbar. Nonda should always start over Hakan Sukur.

Umit - Nonda should be our first choice when they're fit, Hakan should just sit on the bench or in the stands for the last four matches, we don't need a bottle of gazoz floating up front wasting opportunities and failing to complete passes and passing back all the time.

Nonda may blast the ball, but at least he shoots, which is more than can be said for Hakan Sukur at times. Can't Sukur just wait to play his jubilee match or something?

Starting 11. Looks like Cevat Guler and his staff really want to make it to the final, which is a promising sign. However, I would have liked to see Mehmet Topal, Servet, and Arda be given a rest. Let's hope that we can win this one fairly comfortably so they don't have to stay on the pitch for too long and tire themselves before our game on the weekend.

P.S. Does everybody realize how FUQKED this team would have been without Emre Gungor. Good emergency transfer..

We started off really well, finding some chances through buildup play on left side, and occasionally using the right side with Sabri, who hasn't been as awful today as he normally is. Servet also had a nice save off a hard shot from well out. We need to penetrate more though in the second half. We also need to be careful about Genclerbirligi's counter, they have had a couple of breaks and one of their shots just whisked by the far post.

I'm not sure that was a penalty. It really looked like halfway through his swing to kick the ball, Lincoln felt a brush and instead of fighting through it and continuing with the shot, he decided it would be easier to tumble over and try to get a penalty. I'm always skeptical when the player seems to almost start pleading with the ref to award the penalty before they've hit the ground... :undecide:

So if it was a cheap penalty, then I guess karma made things right
