Indeed, but 1998 was 1998, France's only ever World Cup triumph.2006 means we are the 'current' world champions
Also Ribery is so ugly.

I will always remember when Jean Fernandez bought Ribéry. We didn't know a lot of things about him, but Fernandez knew him perfectly because he was his coach at Metz. He said to us :" He will soon become the crowd's favorite, i'm sure of that". Merci Jeannot !

:moan: I grant that Italy presented the stronger face in our meeting and in that respect deserved to progress.

No need to ruin it because it was a blatant penalty... no player should lunge themselves in front of another player in the box without getting the ball, and also hold down their foot... this has also been proven by slow motion replays.

It's happened in the past that my perception was generally disagreed upon. I'm sure this is the case once more.

Referees are crap and when you side with them you're on dodgy ground.

Is it actually a genuine dislike? Or is the feeling more playful? From France's perspective, all I see that happened was that Materazzi said something, but Materazzi doesn't = Italy. Is it simply bitterness?
