Astonished to see Larsson so high, not because he's not worthy but because it's an acknowledgement of his skill based mainly on his performances in the Scottish league.

He was a very good player and was the outstanding player up north for most of his career but that normally doesn't seem to count for much when comparison to the big leagues comes into the equation.

Laudrup at 20th suggests that there was either a Scottish input into the decison process or they are hoping to appease buyers north of Carlisle as he also had a fleeting stop off in EPL.

Ravanelli only had one good season, in which his team got relegated and Juninho was better than him. At Derby he was shite.

I'd for sure say Carbone should be there ahead of him. He was great for Weds and Villa, even if he sucked at Bradford.

In that season Ravanelli was still one of the top scorers in the league and he wasnt too bad when he returned to EPL with Derby at like the age of 35 either.

To be fair, Toni. If they did a proper English one then it would look a lot different. If you do it that way then Irish, Norn Iron, Scottish and Welsh players count. So George Best would be #1 and John Charles, Kenny Dalglish, Alex James, Graeme Souness, Alan Hansen, Billy Bremner, Ryan Giggs, Roy Keane etc would be on there.

It would be much better but still worse than any Italian one: Maradona, Platini, Ronaldo, Zico, Zidane, Rummenigge, Matthaeus etc. etc. etc.
just the Spanish Liga can compete.

Yet During the time of Zico, Platini and Rummenigge Italian teams were doing f*ck all in Europe while English league clubs were cleaning up.
