I am an Inter Milan fan and I think that Batistuta should never have left Fiorentina he is truley loved by the viola's fans, they even made a statue of him, his excuse when leaving for Roma was "I wanted to win things" As if Roma are a better side than Fiorentina anyway.

I absolutely love NUNO GOMES. Although to be truthful I think he is over-rated. I don't think he'll do as well for Fiorentina next season as he did for Portugal in Euro 2000. He played against mediocre defences and hasn't yet faced tough strong defenders like Maldini, Nesta, Cannavaro and Cordoba.

I hope he does really well though!!

I hate Mijatovic though.

Oh! yeah and he was bought for £9.7 million and its now official.

Being a benfica supporter i'm sad to see him go. But being a fan of fiorentina i'm glad he went decided to go there of all places he had to choose.

If it wasn't for jardel of porto, gomes would have been the best striker in portugal for the last few seasons. i know you can't compare porutgal to italian leagues. but he has proved himself at the highest level.

Leandro is a Brazil youth International, thats pretty much all I know. He will play for Brazil in the olympics later this year.

About Nuno, I also think we should not have too high hopes. I know he will definitely be good for us, but he isn't a new Batistuta, far from it. However, that might just as well be a good thing as Fio can finally be considered a team rather than a one-man show.

It is the team that wins championships. A single player can win specific games like Bati did, but no matter how much he scored it could never lead all the way to the top. I am not asking for Nuno to be topscorer in serie A, but for him to bag a reasonable amount of goals and be a part of a well-balanced team. And I'm confident he can do that..
