Well, the beginning of the end is near. My last bit of optimism has been pricked like a balloon with a pin. Today, FIGC intends on suspending our Franco Baldini until the end of the season, when his contract expires, will not be renewed, and will likely be replaced with a Juve or Chievo shill.
Baldini is being suspended because he spoke out in a January interview against the league's hypocrisy and corruption, violating "the Codes of Sporting Justice."
The below article also says Baldini could likely be replaced by Moggi's tool, Messina's Mariano Fabiani, or Chievo's Giovanni Sartori who worked with Del Neri at Chievo. Thanks a lot, FIGC. Always a pleasure witnessing you destroying what little good is left. Talk about killing the goose that laid the golden egg.

>>> Baldini-Roma, futuro incerto

I've criticized Baldini in the past on a few matters, but to say I respect him as a man and for what he has done for Roma would be a total understatement. I can't believe this action. There's no smiley face that is depressed enough.

It's disgusting, if Sensi is selling us out, and we are becoming part of the Moggi empire, i might just give up football altogether :yuck:

How the hell can you suspend someone 4 months or so for verbal actions? Mourinho claimed Ferguson tried to influence the referee during half time, which is almost as bad as far as I can see. At least it's related. Still, he only got a fine, a harsh fine indeed, but just a fine. Fine versus suspension.

How ironic; FIGC punish Baldini for calling them corrupt and they do it in a way I can only write out as corrupt. End of the ****ing season??!? That's like 4 months. I can't believe it :wallbang:

Looks like he survived - at least until the end of the season, when Fiorentina apparently want him. Something is afoot, something fishy, something rotten, but as usual, we will be the last to know cause our owners don't communicate with their fans.
Anyway, I kinda jumped the gun with this thread, but it's still very revealing that this stuff is going on and the names of future sporting directors linked to Roma bode ill for the future of our club, if they are at all indeed true.

That's it, you hit the nail on its head.

We're a sinking ship, and despite Baldini getting away with a fine, he's probably gone in the summer. I don't blame him, as he has been undeservedly left out in the cold by the Sensi family the past year. The differences couldn't be greater: Baldini rather takes on responsibilty that isn't his and accepts blame for it publically while our coach and the Sensi's (Rosella more than anyone else, Franco I still like to believe is a great) hide away and act like their shit don't stink.

Bring on the Rometta!

It's like a slow torture. It's like standing by and watching your whole city burn, disintegrate, and not being able to do squat about it. We're going slow burn. For nine months now, I have been unable to turn on the computer and just check the calcio headlines without worrying for my f#@$ing life that I may be shocked do death. The bad news just keeps on coming, and like repeated punches to a boxer's kidney, it hurts.

Me too, I hate checking any news but I hate not knowing. Effectively being stuck bewteen a rock and a hard place.
Wish I was a billionaire, only way this 'mess' can be sorted. It's like a badly mangled up ball of wool with 4 different ends.

I am just so confused. I do not undertsand what our problems are. We sold so many players, Sensi sold much of his personal assets, we got new TV deals, and we have loans from banks. So whats the problem? How much freakin debt do we have because according to the Sensi family, Roma is out of financial crisis.

Someone explain this to me. :(

1 (1) Manchester United £171.5m
2 (4) Real Madrid £156.3m
3 (3) Milan £147.2m
4 (10) Chelsea £143.7m
5 (2) Juventus £142.4m
...
8 (6) Inter £110.3m
...
12 (11) Roma £72m

What is really going IMO is gross. This is whole Moggi's work trying to infiltrate himself into Roma just like Pieroni stated. Havent you notcied how the whole situation just went by like it never happen? Moggi should be put to jail. We are being played around. Baldini getting suspended for no reason and news saying he and Prandelli, who was OUR coach going to Fiore. I really can not belive Sensi is doing nothing about it.

Are we just totally surrenduring? Is the dream of the angry wolf pack gone? Who is our owner and what does he/she want? Who are we? What are we? I'm talkin' very basic questions here, folks.

Hey I am not backing down at all, just that like Lista says, money talks and unfortunately as of now we cant do much. I am just pissed that Baldini and others are not fighting for Roma. At least that is what it seems.

Baldini is not fighting for Roma? Pardon? He's the one putting his ass on the line, he's the one making interviews which he almost got suspended four months for.

The ones not fighting are Rosella, Delneri etc etc. Baldini is doing more than can be asked from a single man.

Baldini is also linked with Fiorentina and his deferrement is very weird. Baldini also got us players like Ferrari and what not. I agree Rossella is part of the trio but Baldini to me is full of faults too.

W H A T?

Baldini is the ONLY one fighting for Roma. Del Neri is rotten, just as Rosella and the most of the guys in our squad and pretty much everyone in Curva Sud and a whole bunch I´ve forgotten. But Baldini is the only one in this mess worth admire. He fights like the old Sensi, in a true Romanista-style. He is the only one showing the world the true Stile di Roma, a style that will temporarly die with him.

MEEEEERDA!
