The host country for the 2003 Women's World Cup will be chosen Aug. 3, with Australia and China competing for the event.

The decision will be made by the executive committee of world soccer's governing body.

FIFA also will discuss the selection of future men's World Cups in the wake of the dispute over the 2006 host. Germany defeated South Africa by one vote this month.

FIFA president Sepp Blatter has suggested a number of options, including rotating the event from continent to continent and designating the organizers of two consecutive World Cups at the same time.

Other items on the executive committee's agenda include the format and timing of the next Federations Cup and the FIFA Club World Championships.
