With one game remaining, Feyenoord is 3rd with 63 points, Vitesse 4th with 62 point, and Ajax 5th with 61 points... Who will become third, and will enter the Champions' League?
Feyenoord will play against Twente who are 6th with 59 points, and are fighting for a place in the UEFA-Cup.
Vitesse will play against Fortuna Sittard, which shouldn't be a problem...
Ajax will go to Utrecht for their last match.

All three are in the position of becoming 3rd, but if Twente wins and Ajax or Vitesse loses, Ajax or Vitesse won't play in Europe at all.... So it can go either way....
At least the KPN telecomedy has a nice end...

VITESSE ARNHEM 1 olé olé!!

And has anybody heard the rumours!
Maybe Van Gastel en Didier Martel will come to Arnhem! :)

Martel wants to come play in Arnhem, and is as it now seems already finished with Vitesse, its just up to Utrecht and Vitesse.
But, as you can imagine, Utrecht doesnt want to sell him, thats why Martel didnt show up at training, and made arguments to the club, just to improvise.

Van Gastel maybe just be rumours.

Ajax have not won away this year yet, and after last week's poor performance it's unlikely they'll beat Utrecht away this week.
Vitesse have the easist opponents and looks likely to finish 3rd, then Ajax will possibly play Intertoto, but should they finish below Feyenoord, and then they can't, but neither can Feyenoord because they didn't sign up.

5th place is enough for UEFA Cup, so only if Utrecht beats Ajax and Twente beats Feyenoord, Ajax will have to play Intertoto.

Well, the reports say that Chivu was the best player from Ajax, but I can't confirm this cause I didn't watch the game.

Also Den Bosch were relegated after a 7-0 win against Sparta.

Everybody knows what Adriaanse did with Willem II, which was and is a mediocre team with medriocre facilities. Ajax has better players and better facilities. So it's possible.... Adriaanse's aim for next year will be the CL, and for 2001-2002 it'll be the championship, I guess....

Adriaanse faces a mountanious task ahead with Ajax. Can possibly take them back to one of the top teams in Holland?
Ajax was absolutely disgraceful against Utrecht when they lost 3-1, and Utrecht wasn't even playing that good either.
Frank Kales wants to buy new Ajax players, hopefully the buys Ajax makes this summer will actually some effect, because this season's buys were total crap, except for Chivu and Laudrup, but they couldn't do squat either to make something out of it.
