This formation clicked into full throttle from the Leeds game. The players finally have got accustomed to their roles and also the decision to play Giggs alongside Ruud or Ole rather than Scholes is paying off brilliantly now.Hats off to Sir Alex!!!!!:)

No doubt, the 4-4-1-1 worked brilliantly against Deportivo.

United are entering some lethal form. It's unfortunate the loss against Boro otherwise the form we're in would certainly guarantee a double this season. I wish Giggsy would have scored one of those two sitters he had; that would have put the whole tie out of reach.

2 aways goals is an outstanding result but we will have to work hard still. Fantastic result -- all hail Fergie!!!!!!!

Everyone would criticise the formation of 4-4-1-1 , because it just wouldn't work. This was a great idea, but fergie hadn't realised that the player's couldn't get used to it purely because of the greatly successful 4-4-2.

Even I had my doubts, but all hats off for him due to persistance and determination, proving his tactics can work at the highest levels.

There's almost no doubt that we'll go back to the 4-4-2 for the return leg against Deportivo as that's Fergie's preferred formation at home.

If Beckham is OK to play next week, we'll fill Keane's position with Fortune. He showed some good qualities in his minutes last night, so I think Fergie will give him the go.

If Beckham's out, then we might have to experiment and push up Johnsen into midfield, playing Phil Neville at right back and moving Gaz into central defense. I don't think we'll put Forlan in from the start; he'll be an option if the game gets out of hand and we need a more offensive look.

With a 2-0 cushion, the premium will be on a line-up that's got more of a defensive tone. In that case, look for scoring opportunities to come on the counter-attack. Irureta will want to throw everything at us (desperate to score early). If United can go into half-time without having conceded a goal, I think we'll come out in the 2H playing a lot like -- GULP! -- Liverpool.

One thing is for sure, the game next week will be a match of wits and tactics -- Fergie against Irureta. We'll see who comes out on top.

I wouldnt klike to see that happening.Primarily because our defense is not strong enough to sustain the enormous pressure that Depor undoubtedly will be putting us in that situation. Also with Keano's absense we'll be missing not only his presence but the tackles as well and sitting back would only provide more space for the Depor players to work on.

I say let's play our game and hit them right from the start...

If we go 1-0 up they'll lose their faith and we'll cruise it...

If Becks is not fit play Forlan-Butt-Ronny-Giggsy and we'll destroy them. They seem vulnerable to pace and can you honestly see them coping with Giggs, Forlan, Ruud and Ole?! I don't. Especially as they will have to attack and leave the defence unprotected.

If Becks will be fit, play Forlan-Beckham-Butt-Giggs...

Let's go at them will all guns blazing I say.
