Argentina international Ariel Ortega has been signed by Turkish side Fenerbache from River Plate in a $5m (£3.4m) move.
But River Plate will only receive $2m (£1.38m) for the 28-year-old winger because part of the player's transfer rights are owned by his former club Parma.

Ortega, currently with Argentina's World Cup squad in Japan, will take a routine medical test at Fenerbahce after the finals prior to signing the contract.

It will be Ortega's second spell in Europe.

Between 1997 and 2000 he played for Spain's Valencia and Italian sides Sampdoria and Parma.

However, he never quite lived up to expectations and returned to former side River in mid-2000.

Ortega was the Argentine league's top player this season, scoring nine goals and setting up countless others as he led River to their first title in four years.

According to local reports, Fenerbahce are also looking to buy Ortega's national team colleague Matias Almeyda, who is currently at Parma.
