a goal a game for ronaldo is NO PROBLEM! the way rivaldo is playing, there will be so many scoring opportunites for goals that the two of them could be the 1 and 2 top scorers of the competition. (klose won't make it, because germany will go home early. and if italy makes it through, trappatoni will insist on the old boring italian style of 1x0 wins, so vieri will lose goal chances.)

i'm wondering why felipao would set this goal for ronaldo put relegate him to the no. 3 penalty taker. ronaldo is one of the best penalty takers in the world, and he's got way more experience than ronaldinho.

ze, do you know the top five brazilians in terms of all-time world cup goals scored? how does ronaldo rank all time for brazil in world cups with his six? and what about rivaldo?

don't know the number exactly but

Pele has 12
Leonidas has 10 or 11
Jarizinho has 7
Romario has 5 (he only played 7 games fit though)
Careca has 7
Ronaldo has 6


I think Ronaldo can be the all time brazil goaslcorer in World Cups by the time he ends his career. he still has 2 more WC under his belt top play! He can probably pass Gerd Muller! (Something that Batistuta wil only dream about until Wednesday! :tongue: )

i agree with you, ze. i think ronaldo can have 10 goals by the end of this cup, and that's a really reasonable estimate. he would not have to play so great to do that.
