Felipao, guarana man: call up x Nossos Patricios Lusitanos!

here is the call up:

Defensores
Cafu (Roma)
Roberto Carlos (Real Madrid)
Júnior (Parma)
Roque Júnior (Milan)
Lúcio (Bayern Leverkusen)
Edmílson (Lyon)

Meias
Emerson (Roma)
Rivaldo (Barcelona)
Djalminha (Deportivo da Coruña)
Ronaldinho Gaúcho (Paris Saint Germain)

Atacantes
Ronaldo (Internazionale)
Denílson (Bétis)

He said we might play an offensive 3-5-2 probably taking out one of the DM.'s. Actualy i think he might move Emerson to the back and keep Gilberto Silva who has been excellent overthere. THen he might get Ronaldinho + Djalminha + Rivaldo and Ronaldo, That will be quite an interesting attack!;)

ANd it's good to be plying the portuguese, and this could might aswell be a reharsel of the world cup final in july!;) Weshold have more friendlies with the portuguese..the last one if i recall was back in 89?? I don't know the score...probaly 1x0 to us!

Bola Virtual: Felipão comenta o 4-4-2. Já é um grande avanço! 18:25 02/04/2002

Quem sabe?

sorry brazilians

you won't win anything, without your best players:

Ze Roberto, the one and only.
He is wanted by Bayern and Real and many other teams, but your stupid coach Scolari didn't want him in the NT.
There is no one like him, he is sooooo special!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry, maybe in 2006!

You will see!

You won't win anything without your best players!

Normally, I like to see brazil win, but sorry where is your creativity?
You brazilians got the best players, your potential is unbelievable, but without a good coach you won't win anything, sorry!

With this coach, sorry forget it, he's like a 3rd division german coach!
It's sad, but true!

Watch a little bit the champions league, and you will see the best brazilian players!

I completely agree with the creativity and the germna third division coach.
BUT Felipao does win, and he normally does that when everyobody rules him out.

The best brazilian players are mainly in Brazil, not in Europe.! At least that is my opinion!

Brazilian players are at it's best when it comes to joy.
But when you combine brazilian and german style, there is no comparism! It's the ultimate winning formula!
Amoroso is learning german values, and he is great!
i have to sleep now, it's time to go to bed!

oh raios! nada de juninho
felipao eh mto teimoso assim n vamos fazer golão (tenho um amigo portugues q fala assim, eh foda de engracado)...

ze i doubt hes gonna play wit a 3-5-2 wit 2 creative mids in the WC, he might test it durin the portugal game but i doubt hell keep wit it, no the matter the result
i doubt he will bench emerson as its his cap, n hes not gonna play emerson on defence as u hope ze cuz hes not gonna change a players position 2 months before the WC

n i agree wit some of the points cuz i think a lot of brasilian players have become really good players in ger, for ex: emerson used to be great for leverkusen, ze roberto has been spectacular in every CL game ive seen him, lucio has improved a lot in ger... elber n paulo sergio seem to score a lot of goals for bayern (n i wonder why hittzfeld benches paulo sergio)... n amoroso n ewerthon im hearin good things bout (dunno how evanilson is doin tho), theres also marcelhino paraiba who ive seen him play really well for hertha berlin, but he doesnt mirror that form for the NT n also i hear alex alves is scorin some nice goals(other than his highlights for reckless drivin)... n those r only some of the players that com to my mind

Well, It's just a matter of time untill the Brazillian based players are called up and if Romario is left out then he'll probably be watching the World Cup at his television in Rio de Janiero for the second time again. It's been 4 hard years, Oh my god, how cruel and nasty is this Felipao?

I like the foreign based players, It's awesome that Ronaldinho is guarenteed a spot on the 23 man roster and is really getting a push for the starting eleven aswell. :)

I think the main factor is not Ze Roberto. If I had the choice, I would take Marcelinho Paraiba, the best Brazilian in Germany next to Lucio, 'cause he is EXCITING AND EFFECTIVE, both as a scorer and as a creative man.

And Paulo Sergio is a shadow of what he used to be.

Marcelinho Paraiba is not Brazilian NT level. He only got called up that time because he was playign for Gremio and Tite (Gremio's manager) played Marcelinho in this role which he was able to cut all the build up of Corinthians in the COpa do Brasil final last year (i believe Alexx has the tape that i sent him).

Then when you link Gremio+ title+ sucess with Marcelinho Paraiba.....Felipao had orgasms for months with that , and then he called him up the very next call up!

Portugal vs Brasil

Only real test Brasil will face before the World Cup.We already know the list of foreign based players and waiting for Brasil based players in two weeks. If Romario is not called than we will know for sure that he is not going to Korea/Japan.I was pretty sure Jardel would get a call but he didn't.thank God.

If anyone (Ze) know how many times Brasil played Portugal and when please let me know.I will appreciate.

Defensores
Cafu (Roma)
Roberto Carlos (Real Madrid)

You might be right Ze.
I've been very critical towards Marcelinho at first, but during the last months this guy showed a breathtaking developement. He's simply OUTSTANDING, better than Ewerthon and Amoroso combined.
But anyway, as long as Djalminha gets his chance..:)

Well, yesterday I saw a Champions League quarter final first leg between Leverkusen of Germany and Liverpool of England and Leverkusen did lose to a low scoreline of 1-0 but Ze Roberto put up a very good performance and if he doesn't make it to the World Cup it's a huge talent going down the drain.

I also read an article today, Leverkusen refuse to let Ze Roberto go to Bayern Munich and will put out alot of money to keep him, a good sign for atleast the future if he doesn't make it with us to the Copa del mundo.

Felipao calles players who DON'T PLAY REGULARLY in their clubs(Djalminha, Roque Junior)....its a shame for the "yellow shirt" that players are called who don't play club-soccer at all....Scolari is really mad!

Also calling Junior (Parma is fighting to stay in Serie A, how pathetic!) while Zé Roberto really shines match by match (even in Champions-League where Junior & Parma don't take part), although against clubs like Juventus etc. Ok, Roberto Carlos will play in WC, but if Junior has a place in squad, Zé Roberto has to be there (I mean instead of him) too! This is only an example of Felipaos crappy concept, Ronaldo (who hasn't played for monthes) instead of Romario etc etc. etc.

Scolari sucks :(

Djalminha is doing NOTHING in La Coruna, Marcelinho Paraíba is better by miles (at the moment, not in general), he creates + scores, thats something Djalminha hasn't done for monthes now.

Of the full team i only remember 3 games

the one in 66 , which is the most famous one.

The one we beat them 4x0 in Portugal in 83

And the one in 89 which we also won 1x0;)

But there have been some other controversial in the sub-categories.
In 91 with that superb U-21 team we had which had Roberto Carlos, Elber, Andrei and Djair we scored 2 goals in the first 10minutes taht was dissaloud and the ref was totally biased towards them, we took the game to penalties after so much robbing by the ref...but we lost on penalties.

Also in the olypmpics 96, the third place game we beat them 5x0.;)

about otehr games , check the websites the have.
