Football club Crvena zvezda, that won only the Yugoslav Cup this year, re-enforced today with a former player of Zemun.

Dragan Mladenovic, born on February 16th 1976 in Kraljevo, is the new player of Zvezda. He is 190cm tall and weighs 84kg, and so far he has played for Radnik, Gradjanski, Sloga, Zemun, Rudar and Zemun again, only to become member of the first team of the red-and-whites.

He is a background player, with the ability to adapt to different positions. Thanks to his versatility, he scored 15 goals during his time with Rudar from Pljevlja, although he isn’t a classical attacker.

He scored goals in the First division as well, against goalkeepers of Zeleznik, Rad, Sutjeska, Radnicki from Kragujevac and Mladost from Apatin.

First Krivokapic joins us, now Mladenovic, so far so good to me ;)

Partizan and Red Star make moves

Tuesday 18th June 2002

Yugoslavian champions Partizan are determined to keep their squad together this summer, and their first official move is to extend Milivoje Cirkovic's contract.

The 25-year-old defender was hoping to go overseas, but with no offers on the table he has opted for a new four-year deal with Partizan.

Director Nenad Bjekovic said the club wanted to keep its current side together because of the lack of 'quality replacements' in the Yugoslavian market.

Meanwhile, Red Star have snapped up 26-year-old defender Dragan Mladenovic on a four-year deal.

Mladenovic, who has been at Zemun for the past three years, said: "It was good there, but I believe it will be even better here. I had offers from abroad, but Red Star is Red Star. You can't turn them down."
