A new level in the increasing violence in Israeli football was achieved Yesterday as Arik Benado was attacked by two Beitar fans after the Toto Cup match (in which he didn't even take part). He was cut above his eyebrow and returned immediately to the stadium for a medical treatment. Afterwards Benado filled a complaint in the Haifa police. Simply terrible, if nothing will be done now the first murder seems to be close.

the truth is that the police must be prepared now. We always thought it wouldn´t be possible to happen these sad events in Israeli football, but unfortunately it is increasing. This only undermines our football.

I hate those lifeless fans. All they do is drag themselfs from stadium to stadium, attacking rivel players, stoning fans who wear the wrong color...

YUCK
