Samp don't need to be signing ageing players who want to be paid top dollar. They need hungry young players, not past it mercenaries. Bierhof is a case in point, I thought he'd retired then I see him turning out for Chievo:confused:

Samp to sign Abiatti from Milan on loan, if they are promoted. Milan to get Sereni as cover for Dida.
Any truth in this one Toni?
Turci does sound like he's been a little er....inconsistent:smileani:

Some more rumours: Donati will surely leave Torino and could probably join Sampdoria next year.
Donati is a play-maker like Volpi and he could be a very useful replacement but I wonder if he will accept the bench...
As regards the companion for Bazzani in the attack there are rumours about Marazzina. The former Chievo now Roma (bench) forward is linked with Atalanta too. I must admit: I hope for a much better forward...

i think Gasbarroni would stay another year with Samp....especially if they are in serie A next season.
I think "just" if we are in serie A next year. His agent (Moggi Jr.) has been rather clear on the question: next year Gasbarroni will play in a serie A team. I hope that it will be Sampdoria.

Well guys have being reading the posts here for a while because i am a samp fan and finally registered to join in on all the fun. There was an article on Channel4.com about Moggis plans for summer transfers and the great news seems to be that Gasbarroni isn't mentioned at all.

Moggi reveals Juve plans Friday 18 April, 2003

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Juventus transfer guru Luciano Moggi has revealed which of their many loan stars will return to the club next season.

The Bianconeri have a host of talented youngsters spread across Italy, many of whom have caught the eye at their current clubs.

Perugia duo Fabrizio Miccoli and Manuele Blasi are two men that Juventus signed at the start of this season and Moggi has confirmed their return.

"Both players at the Umbrian club will definitely be part of our squad next season," said the director general.

Miccoli has been a revelation in Serie A and has recently become an Italian international after a number of extraordinary displays and goals.

While Blasi has again impressed. The former Under-21 international can play centrally or on the right of midfield.

Meanwhile, Moggi also revealed that Matteo Brighi (pictured) could be sent on loan to a new side after his difficulties at Parma.

"We are discussing the option of giving him back to Bologna for a season," added the Bianconeri official. "Talks are still continuing but that is what is likely to happen."

The Under-21 captain was supposed to stay on loan at Parma for two campaigns but has struggled to make an impression at the Stadio Tardini.

Hi Cerezo, I'll welcome you to the samp forum as there seems to be no one here:smileani:
Regarding Arsenal and Abbiati, I haven't heard about that one. They were being linked with Robinson from Leeds, Turkish keeper Rustu and Seb Frey from Parma.

Albertini turns down Samp Monday 5 May, 2003

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Former Italian international midfielder Demetrio Albertini has turned down a summer move to Sampdoria.

The 31-year-old is currently on loan at Atletico Madrid from Milan and has caught the eye of the Genoa-based outfit.

But Albertini maintains that he has no interest in joining Samp should they complete their objective of reaching Serie A.

"I know that Sampdoria in Italy are interested in me but my future lies with either Atletico or Milan," he stated.

The Italian moved to the Spanish side on loan at the start of the current campaign and has adapted well to his new surroundings.

"It has been a wonderful experience and one which I am willing to continue but no one at Atletico has talked to me about next season as of yet."

WE HAVE VOLPI!!!!!!

We don't need an old player as Albertini, historically great but now (for me)near to the end,and near to a rule in the management of milan,as baresi and tassotti.

I'm happy he decided so,he's too old,and I hate all milan players.

Bye the way.

Marotta said that:
-Volpi and Bazzani next year WILL remain at samp.
-Flachi PROBABLY could remain....
-samp will buy players with great motivations.

Sincerly I don't thhink Flachi will remain, for him,and for society.
Infact surely we will have a great name near Bazzani next year,Flachi will refuse the bench for a new player, even with a great name.
More I don't think Flachi is a player able for A,this is his better year, but in A we need important players, able to fight always.
I think he's able for B.

Of course welcome cerezo. ;)

As regards the new players I hope that Garrone will make us a present: a great player.
When I was at the hospital I read on Tuttosport (newspaper famous for bulls+hit :D ) that the great player could be Recoba on loan from Inter. Impossible?
Recoba played in Venezi a when the coach of Venezia was Novellino and the dg was Marotta...

Samp eye Antonioli swoop Thursday 8 May, 2003

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Roma¡¦s Francesco Antonioli has become the latest goalkeeper to be linked with a move to Sampdoria.

The Genoa-based outfit are on the verge of promotion to the top flight and are looking to sign a new goalkeeper for next term¡¦s Serie A campaign.

Milan¡¦s Christian Abbiati is known to be the club¡¦s primary objective but that move has hit problems.

The 26-year-old has lost his place in the first team to Dida this term but recently showed his skills when making his Italy debut in last week¡¦s 2-1 win in Switzerland.

Abbiati has maintained that he would like to remain with the Rossoneri next season and the club are keen to keep hold of the former Under-21 ace.

That has opened the door for Antonioli who has lost his first team shirt in the capital to youngster Ivan Pelizzoli.

Antonioli¡¦s agent did confirm earlier this term that the former Bologna shot stopper would definitely be leaving the Stadio Olimpico this summer.

Sampdoria¡¦s current ¡¥keeper in Serie B is former Udinese No 1 Luigi Turci. He moved to the Stadio Marassi at the start of the 2002/03 campaign.
