This is a thread for simple rumors and effective transfers regarding Sampdoria now that the market is open again.

The last rumor I read is about a possible exchange of goalies between Samp and Brescia: Turci to Brescia and Sereni back to Samp.
Well, I must admit that Sereni would be a great purchase.
More, I think that after he has failed in Ipswich he is probably humbler and he will accept to play for a team which is going to be great again even if he has to play in serie B.
Turci is a good goalie in my opinion but during this season the ball has often been a bar of soap for him.

you are right: Sereni is just on loan to Brescia, so it's rather improbable an exchange with Turci (who is half of Samp and half of Udinese, if I'm right).

In Novi Ligure, during the last friendly won by Samp (9-0), Garrone said that no players will be bought, while probably some players will be sold.
Indeed, I think that just Stendardo is useless, above all if Paganin will be back. Stendardo will probably join his brother in Napoli.
As regards Valtolina (I read his name often associated to Florentia Viola) I think that Samp should sell him just if they get Gautieri from Atalanta.

Since the beginning of the season I have said that Samp need a forward for the bench. Even if in Novi Ligure Rabito scored an hattrick I don't think that he could replace Bazzani... serie B is not comparable to Novi Ligure!
About Colombo I already daid: this guy is skilled, but he never scored so much till now and even if he is still young I think that he will never score more.

Castellazzi: good goalie, I think he is not better than Turci, but he is younger. Indeed, I hope that Samp will buy a better goalie or keep Turci.
Brioschi can play as a right back in the 4-4-2 of Novellino. I already heard rumors about him coming to Samp in the past (even when Enrico Mantovani was the president). An average player...

Well, Cosenza got Brioschi and Como got Caccia, so we will no more discuss on them.
Indeed, I'm happy cause I think that they could not improve Sampdoria's performances.

Now that Sacchetti will be out at least for 1 month and a half (6-7 matches) the question is: will Samp buy a new right back or Novellino thinks that Nenad Sakic is suitable to replace "Sacco"?

There are rumors again on the young defender Natali (a center back) of Atalanta joining Samp, but, indeed, if Paganin will be OK I think that he will be useless.

My opinion is that if Fabbrini is useless to Modena I don't understand why he could be useful to Samp. Modena scored 1 goal in the last 7 matches...

As regards Fabbrini, whose surname is the "Bull from Pinerolo" (Note: Pinerolo is a small town not far from Torino where he began to play, also famous cause the Uruguay team Penarol was so called because of it), is a player who last year did very well with Modena but this year not at all, in fact the coach De Biasi often left him on the bench.
Our last "Bull", the one from Sora, was something worse than disappointing, so I think that I don't want to see "Bulls" for some years... above one one who played for a long time for Pinerolo and ProVercelli.

Emiliano MORETTI, interesting youngster of Juventus (former Fiorentina player like Palombo) could be the substitute of Sacchetti as a right back.
Great, I like Moretti very much and I think that he can do well.

Anyhow, those regardins Doni and Gautieri are old rumours, while the one regarding Taibi is the consequence of the poor performances of our goalies.

In the end I think that if ever Doni left Atalanta he would not join Sampdoria.

Strong rumours regards some players coming back to Sampdoria.
Enrico Chiesa said that he would be happy to come back to Genova (yet, he will be 33 next year, pehaps a bit too much!). The goalie Mattia Sereni could also come back but there is an old question: when Mantovani Jr. sold Sereni to Ipswich Town, the fool promised to the goalie 3,5 milion euros if he accepted to be sold ( can a president of a team be so fool! ). Of course, Mantovani Jr. could not give Sereni the money promised (Mantovani had no money!! :howler: ), so Sereni is now asking that money to Garrone, the new president of Samp.
In the end I also do not appreciate at all the behaviour of Sereni, so even if he is a very good goalie I would leave him where he is now (that means on loan to Brescia from Ipswich).
