After a great run with the best team in Brazil (I'm biased ), a horrible Porto display, and a goal in the UEFA cup final for Sevilla that set this fierce striker on a goal scoring frenzy, I just can't get enough of his goals. He is the kind of player that gives 110% on all the plays and he doesn't quit until the ball is on the back of the net.

He's scored 14 goals for Brazil so far and I sure hope he'll be able to accumulate into those numbers!!!

Luis Fabiano has a good chance of securing the #9 shirt for the next WC. He has been doing well enough - certainly better than Vagner Love did when he had the chance - and seems adapted to the position. His fighting spirit sometimes goes berserk, though, and we can only hope that he doesn't ever flip when wearing the yellow shirt.

But - looking at the bright side here, as this IS a Dedication Thread - Luis Fabiano does represent a proud lineage of talented-but-explosive footballers. From Heleno de Freitas to Dunga, from Almir Pernambuquinho to Edmundo; there have been a LOT of successful berzerkers in the history of Brasilian football. And unlike some of those past luminaries, Luis Fabiano never slapped a ref (as Heleno did once) or headbutted a teammate (as Dunga did once).

One has to give credit to his fighting spirit. In times the selecão looks rather dull and unmotivated in order to win match Luís da Warrior should be a role model for any player who wants to carry and sacrifice for the yellow shirt. Yes im serious, make him captain immediately and beat the crap outta every one. Make the opponent look afraid and awed just by entering the pitch in thought of being punished by Luís da Warrior :boxing:

I just wanted to share some stats about how incredible Luis Fabiano has been in his goalscoring lately.
16 goals in latest 13 games for selecao!!!!
25 goals in 33 games in total

Comparing with the greats

Ronaldo had 21 goals in his first 33 games
Best goal ratio in 13 games was 14 goals

Romario had 19 goals in his first 33 games
and 17 goals as best goal ration for 13 games.

Zico had 20 goals in first 33 games
15 goals in 13 games as highest ratio

Pelé had 34 goals in first 33 games
And 19 goals in 13 games as best ratio

Keep in mind that this is just a goal scoring stats comparison…
and the 13 games cut out is just a curiosity and for stats nerds..
and with a little reservation for a quick study..

Hope this wont go to Luis Fabiano´s head too much…
so he will keep up the good work.

Extremely impressive if u ask me. Luis Faiano doesn't have the advantage to face teams like San Marino like European forwards do regulary. Nowadyz its even harder to score in Venezuela. For example the Czechian Baros scored 4 goals a view hours ago. In the end his goals per game statz gonna look gangsta but mean nuttin.
