Everton youngster Wayne Rooney was the man of the match as England beat Holland 2-0 in the group stage of the UEFA European U-17 Championship today.

Rooney scored the opener in the first half with a magnificent individual goal.

England controlled the game after that and won comfortable 2-0 after a new goal in the second half.

England are now ready for the quarter final of the tournament after winning their two first matches and can go into the final match of the group stage against hosts Denmark with no pressure on their shoulders.

Yeah, there has been a lot of hype surrounding Wayne Rooney. Only last week was he going to be the youngest player to play for Everton since Joe Royle at 16 years of age. But Moyes decided not to play him, but did say that he could play against Arsenal.
