Macedonian First League champions FK Rabotnicki brushed aside their Latvian opponents Skonto FC with a 6-0 victory - a national record in UEFA club competition.
Early pressure
As early as the fourth minute, a free-kick by Stojan Ignjatov led to Skonto's Parfait Adjam hitting his own crossbar with an attempted clearance. Then on 28 minutes Vance Trajcov and Goran Maznov linked up but Trajcov could not convert the chance.
Kralevski opener
It took 31 minutes for the deadlock to be broken when Rabotnicki defender Filip Kralevski's header found the target. Skonto had to wait a further six minutes for their first shot of the game, a free-kick by Levan Korgalidze which was saved by goalkeeper Filip Madzovski.
Rabotnicki dominance
Rabotnicki continued to dominate as Stojance Ignatov scored a 57th-minute penalty before striker Ardijan Nuhiji made it three on 65 minutes. Goran Maznov put the tie behind all doubt 20 minutes from time before making it five after creative work from Ivan Pejcic. With five minutes left Nuhiji scored his second and Rabotnicki's sixth.
Jovanovski caution
"I want to congratulate my players," said Rabotnicki coach Gjore Jovanovski. "This is a great result and we have a chance to progress but we must play patiently next week. Many larger teams have been eliminated after having big advantages."
Andrejevs admiration
Skonto coach Jurijs Andrejevs conceded: "I didn't expect this kind of play from Rabotnicki. We were surprised and completely outplayed. Their forward line was great, all the team played very well and I must congratulate our opponents."

Velicka inspires Kaunas victory

Two first-half goals from Andrius Velicka gave FBK Kaunas a priceless away win and helped set up a two-goal advantage in his side's UEFA Champions League first qualifying round tie against Faroe Islands champions HB Tórshavn.
Velicka prowess
Velicka struck once in the opening spell and again halfway through the first period to put Kaunas firmly in control. Tórshavn hit back minutes after Velicka's second to give the home side hope, only for the lead to be restored minutes later as Arkadiusz Klimek found the net for the visitors. Rokur av Flotum Jespersen reduced the deficit again for Tórshavn but Irmantas Zelmikas's goal just after the break completed an emphatic scoreline for Kaunas.
Kaunas hopes
Lithuanian champions Kaunas are now favourites to go through to the second qualifying round at the expense of Tórshavn, with a glamourous tie against Liverpool FC the possible reward. The European champions defeated Total Network Solutions FC of Wales 3-0 in a one-sided first leg at Anfield this evening.

Mate, Atlantas made big progress, and it was cearly visible in Intertoto 2004, when they lost 0-2 to Spartak Moscow but in second leg they won 1-0 !!!!!!!!!KisLas said:looks like a good year for Atlantas

And in 1999 they beat Kocaelispor on penalties in Intertoto.
2-1 on away is good result hopefully they will qualifiy. FORZA ATLANTAS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My favorite Baltic team.

This time they will be sucessfull also in UEFA Cup I beliveKisLas said:i said that their UEFA CUP record is terrible. I know they had succes in the intertoto cup. Hope they make it but I somewhy doubt it
