not a bad Group. Playing Macedonia and Armenia away in one week would be bloody brilliant.

Good luck to Macedonia in this Quaification, with exception of our games of course :)

It´s been ages we played together in World Cup 2002 Qualification. I´d take those results (2:0, 5:0) but I´m worried that now you give us better run for our money.

Pretty decent group, could have been a lot worse.

Russia is the favorite, but not a big one.

I think he meant Goran Popov from Heerenveen, who's a solid player indeed.

Good luck to Slovakia in this group. I hope you guys make it and I believe you can. :)

like I said in the WWE forum, I wanted to avoid u, but well, Ill have to accept the reality :D

anyway, Macedonia has made many changes since those 4 games that weve played.

game 1 info (0:2): http://www.macedonianfootball.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1064:svk-mkd-match-report&catid=13:national-teams&Itemid=64
game 2 info (0:5): http://www.macedonianfootball.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1063:mkd-svk-match-report&catid=13:national-teams&Itemid=64

from this two games, current captain Goce Sedloski played both and Igor Mitreski played the 2nd. but, Sedlo is now 35 (36 in April) and he wont be playin from September.

game 3 info (0:2): http://www.macedonianfootball.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1144:mkd-svk-match-report&catid=13:national-teams&Itemid=64

game 4 infor (1:1): http://www.macedonianfootball.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1145:svk-mkd-match-report&catid=13:national-teams&Itemid=64

from this two, Sedlo and Mitreski again were present, Pandev was making his first steps along with Aco Stojkov, Ilco Naumoski, Vlatko Grozdanoski and Velice Sumulikoski. Slavco Georgievski also played but later he was forgoten for yaers in the nt up to 2009 when he made a come-back.

all in all, we have a totally different team. but, only 3 players are good enough: Goran Pandev (Inter), Nikolce Noveski (Mainz) and Goran Popov (Heerenveen). the rest r playin in bad championships around Europe nad some even stay on the bench.

thanks for all the details mate, we surely need to watch our backs when playing you away :)

Pandev is great striker.

Was watching Mainz home game today, Noveski was a stalwart. Something to build on.

from the Game 1 team, only Miro Karhan (33) is still around, Szili Nemeth struggles in german 2nd (Aachen). From the bench, only Meszaros (C.Budejovice) and Sedlak (Slovan) are still playing. The rest already retired.

From the Game 2, Karhan again as only active member of NT. Players still playing are Gresko (Leverkusen, retired from NT), from the bench Oravec (Žilina) and Janočko (Admira, austrian 2nd).

Game 3: Karhan and Vittek are still members of NT.

Game 4: Petráš and Zábavník are still NT members, rest isn´t.

To sum it up, Karhan and Zábavník are the only starters remained, Vittek and Petráš are members of NT but not starters.

edited my post because it was unclear, sorry for that. Only active player in NT from Games 1 and 2 is Miro Karhan.

From games 3 and 4 it´s Karhan, Zabavnik, Vittek and Petras who are still members of our nt. Zabavnik and Karhan are regulars, Vittek is semi-regular and Petras´sniffing around but his position in nt is weak.

Zabavnik in January moved from Terek Grozny to Noveski's Mainz. so theyll have something to chat about :D
+ good old Karhan of course, who played in 3 of 4 our mutual games (1-3)

Btw Zabavnik didn´t move from Terek, he signed to Mainz as a free agent because he wasn´t offered new contract (old one expired)

Zabavnik is underrated player who always does these little good things for his team, he never gets headlines and attention he deserves.

Ya Krle was right, I was talking about Popov. I guess Noveski is 3rd on that list. He seems to play very well for Macedonia as well. But, to me he was a much better player few years ago. In fact a few italian teams wanted him. But, since he stayed at Mainz things didnt get better. For him that is, Mainz is doing great.
By the way best of luck in the WC would love to see you guys do very well. Not only because you are a small country and first time in the world cup. But, also cause you guys come from the east well (you know what I mean) but also because we will face you guys. And I always love to see teams we face do well.
