I've just finished watching Euro studio on Polsat and didn't really like it.

Lots of moaning about Blaszczykowski's absence, about Golanski's new position, Zurawski's mysterious injury etc. Generally everyboby's bloody disappointed with the fact the Germans were a better side.

I can understand that. Still, basing my opinion on today's matches, I firmly believe that even without Blaszczykowski and with Golanski we can beat both Austria and Croatia. It's not gonna be easy, but let's just do it ;)

My team for Austria game:

Boruc - Golanski, Bak, Zewlakow, Wasilewski - Roger, Dudka, Lewandowski, Krzynowek, Zurawski - Smolarek

If Leo trusted Golanski, he should stick to this choice now. Lobodzinski wasn't bad, but he's less versatile than our other attacking players.

A win means it's all in our hands. A draw gives us hope unless Germany lose to Croatia. A loss means we're out unless Germany beat both Croatia and Austria by more than two goals.

I didn't read this before posting my opinion in Poland - Germany match thread, honestly! Exactly my thoughts. Borek's and Kolton's comments during the game were also irritating. I hate "omniscient" journalists.

I expected a bit more from our performance yesterday, but there is a need to focus on the next game vs Austria. If we don't win on Thursday, it will be a disaster.

I think Wawrzyniak and Roger will replace Golanski and Zurawski in the starting evelen, although personally I would put Krzynowek on the bench, Smolarek on the left and Roger in the middle, behind Zurawski as a lone striker.

Let's keep faith. In Leo we trust. ;)

Zurawski has been ruled out of the Austria and Croatia games. Another injury...

Lewandowski is also doubtful for Thursday.

Great. :rollani:
Can it get any worse? Now everyone just have to forget who's in and who's out and stay focused on just one thing - winning the freakin games.

I feel so silly for thinking Leo could actually change something. We only have one player good enough at this level, we should sell him instead of trying to buy players to fill a team with. Although our purchase was by far the best outfield player. He even sang the anthem!

Euro2012, won't that be fun.

1-1.

Oh well... At least we're not the first team that got eliminated from the tournament :D

Before the final game, we theoretically still have a chance of progressing, that's some progress compared to recent tournaments ;) Plus we're gonna be the host nation of 2012, fantastic stuff :howler:

First half really bad. Wasilewski and Jop big crap. Boruc world class. Roger, Saganowski solid. Our defence is the weakest from all teams cous our best defenders are at home. Leo prepare us very bad (that is sad true).

I expected a draw from Austria game, but then I thought Germany would beat Croatia and Poland - Croatia would be 'all or nothing' epic battle :(

Regardless of the fact that the ref's decision to award the penalty was ridiculous, we asked for that goal. We were a class better than Austria in the 2nd half, but when it's 1:0, you must assume that in last 10 minutes your opponent will have at least one good chance :(

We should've scored another one, instead of trying some stupid time wasting. Austria was really poor in the 2nd half. There was no need to defend as if they were Spain or France...

My rates (1-6)

Boruc - 5
Zewlakow - 3
Bak - 4
Jop 0 ;)
Wasilewski - 2
Krzynowek - 4
Lewandowski - 2
Dudka - 2
Saganowski - 4
Roger - 4
Smolarek - 3

Golanski - 3
Lobodzinski - should've been on earlier!
Murawski - too short

I find it incredible that UEFA defends the decision to award penalty to Austrians. The referee basically gifted them a point. Why not just show a yellow card to Polish defender and had a free-kick retaken? At the same time, UEFA gave Schweinsteiger only 1 match ban after his direct red card against Croatia. As far as I can remember a direct red means 3 match suspension...

Goodbye Euro 2008 for Poland.
I say there is not much surprise at least to who have gone through from this group.
A bit of surprise is Poland handling their games compared to qualifiers.
Aside from that, goodluck to Polish NT.
