Montella moves clear at summit

Monday, 24 January 2005
Vincenzo Montella ended holder Thierry Henry's run at the top of the ESM Golden Shoe standings with his winner for AS Roma at ACF Fiorentina on Sunday.

Eto'o closing

While Henry has not scored in five games for Arsenal FC, Montella's eighth Serie A goal in seven matches took him two points clear, and Samuel Eto'o is not far behind after his early effort for FC Barcelona against Real Racing Club Santander.

Bubbling under

Also moving up the rankings are Crystal Palace FC's Andrew Johnson, whose fine form continued with a goal against Tottenham Hotspur FC, and Ricardo Oliveira, up 27 places to joint 24th after registering twice for Real Betis Balompié at home to CD Numancia.

I hope he keeps up his form and go intop soon, specialy that Montella is having the day of his life this season, and Henry just not going along with some balls in the past few matchs, I saw him in NewCastle game, and he almost score 4 goals, still the keeper kept him at 16 goals so far.

ETO'O is doing good, for me I feel he'll be 1st soon, and he'll score more, with the coming of the new Striker Maxi Lopez, so ETO'O will have some rest and gets ready for big matchs.

and thanks for this chart, and I hope you keep it updated often.

Visca el Barca.
