Having never watched Survivor, I have no idea what this guy is like. Certainly the USSF is hyping his dispatches from Korea.

CHICAGO (Tuesday, May 14, 2002) - Ethan Zohn, the million-dollar winner of the hit reality show "Survivor: Africa" and former professional soccer player, will chat with fans and members of the media live on Friday, May 17 at 1 p.m. ET. Zohn will discuss the upcoming launch of "Ethan Zohn's Zone" at ussoccer.com, an online journal that will provide fans with a behind-the-scenes look inside the U.S. team and the athletes taking part in the 2002 World Cup. To bring the excitement of the tournament to life for U.S. fans, U.S. Soccer and Philips Electronics will launch "Ethan Zohn's Zone."

Scheduled to launch prior to the first U.S. match vs. Portugal on June 5, fans will be able to access Ethan's daily entries on ussoccer.com, the ultimate destination for up-to-the-minute World Cup news. Designed to satisfy the curiosity of every fan, the online journal will offer exclusive video footage of both on- and off-the-field moments.

To participate in the chat, visit www.ussoccerfan.com, where existing members can simply sign in and new members must register on the site before they are able to ask questions during the chat. The chat will take place one day after the U.S. World Cup Team faces Jamaica at Giants Stadium (live on ESPN2 at 7:30 p.m. ET) and two days before the team takes on Netherlands at CMGI Field (live on ABC at 2 p.m. ET / delayed on the West Coast) in the team's World Cup send-off match.

I didn't watch Survivor but this guy seems to be doing a good job of promoting the game and the National Team.
