-Trying to change the stupid habit of starting the match thread so so late-
Okay...
When Ferguson says the title race is over, the title race IS over. :frownani:
13 points behind Chelsea with 7 games left, though still not mathematically impossible for Arsenal or United to catch up, would almost definitely mean that United will be without the title in successive seasons for the first time in 13 years.
The return of Ruud van Nistelrooy from injury, hailed by many as the possible saviour of United's season as he was in 2002/03, has in fact coincided with a relatively bad run of form for the club. The Dutchman has never looked sharp since his return; and Ferguson has hinted that he might be dropped for his bad form, in place of Smith and Saha, who have only played sporadically this season.
Against bottom-placed Norwich at Carrow Road on Saturday, Ferguson would definitely take it as a chance to rotate his squad, and give the two mentioned strikers and long-time-not-seen players like Kleberson a chance to prove their worth. It is really make-or-break time for certain players at the club, and they should really relish the opportunity, especially when it is against the **** non-flying Canaries.
Possible lineup:
-------------------------------Howard--------------------------------
G.Neville--------------Brown--------------Heinze----------------O'shea
------------Miller--------------Scholes--------------Kleberson---------
-------------------Smith--------Saha--------Ronaldo------------------
-Also put Rossi and Jones on the bench.
