well, gerrard is out of this game after he went under a groin operation last Thursday.

we may see m.owen returns to the three lions in coming 2 games vs andorra and coratia respectively.. hopefully owen won`t get any injury in newcastle game against arsenal this week. :hopeful:
I say call up no defenders. Let's play this:

---------------Hart
--Hargreaves---Carrick--Barry
Bentley--------Lampard----------Joe Cole
---Rooney--Crouch--Ashton--Sturridge
what a line-up. :pp

england must win this game and look for an excellent start in this qualification, then to focus on croatia game after it.

hargreaves may not be ready to play in the international games next week, according to sir alex.
Yes, despite being ready to play for United :rollani:

does he ready to play?
Just throw any 11 in, I don't really care.
should I consider you as a pessimistic?
Footballing giants clash in a contest of all out attack.

Can't wait.

We'll probably struggle for a while to break them down playing with no brains, get a flukey goal then andorra collapse and we get called world beaters by the press. Standard fare. TGO's lineup bar Crouch and Hargreaves looks like fun at least.
Bullard in the squad :howler:

Crouch left out :)
England in full:

Goalkeepers: Paul Robinson (Blackburn), David James (Portsmouth), Robert Green (West Ham)

Defenders: Joleon Lescott (Everton), Wayne Bridge (Chelsea), Ashley Cole (Chelsea), John Terry (Chelsea), Wes Brown (Manchester United), Rio Ferdinand (Manchester United), Glen Johnson (Portsmouth), Matthew Upson (West Ham)

Midfielders: Gareth Barry (Aston Villa), Joe Cole (Chelsea), Frank Lampard (Chelsea), Jimmy Bullard (Fulham), David Beckham (Los Angeles Galaxy), Stewart Downing (Middlesbrough), David Bentley (Tottenham), Jermaine Jenas (Tottenham)

Forwards: Theo Walcott (Arsenal), Wayne Rooney (Manchester United), Jermain Defoe (Portsmouth), Emile Heskey (Wigan).
Bullard is class :) The squad is decent... Beckham shouldnt play v Andorra. He plays too much anyway and he is boring to watch. At least let Bentley and Cole play the wings.
WTF NO JOE HART!?

he's been absolutely on fire so far this season.
Hes too young :howler: Typical Italian manager bullsh!t :D
I’ve always thought Bullard was a good player so it is cool seeing him in the England squad. He’s a much better choice than someone like Huddlestone.

Theo Walcott? What has he done to get into the squad? Right now Young and Agbonlahor are much better choices.

Michael Owen not being chosen isn’t a surprise. He simply cannot be relied upon fitness wise. One month he is available, the next he isn’t, the next he might it has just got too much now.
WTF do Hart and Richards have to do to get in the squad? Richards should be our starting RB, I don't care if he plays as a centre-back he's been the most creative player on the right flank for England in the past two years. How can Capello call up Robinson who has already made a howler this season, and was caught out against West Ham, and Upson who is generally woeful and made a major error against City.
Owen axed
