Well, Iam off to make up with an old frend that has CANAL+,,,,I will unfortunately be FORCED to watch the boring Serie A until Redondo retires.....

UPDATE 1-Soccer-Real Madrid ready to sell Redondo
to AC Milan

(Updates with Real confirmation, paras 1-2, background)
By Phil Minshull
MADRID, July 27 (Reuters)(DS) - Real Madrid said on Thursday
they were ready to sell midfielder Fernando Redondo to AC Milan
for 3,000 million pesetas ($16.91 million).
A club spokesman, confirming the fee, said: "We have decided
not to obstruct his move."
Spanish state radio (RNE) said Redondo would sign a
three-year contract.
Redondo's agent Ricardo Luri was reported to be travelling
to the Real Madrid pre-season training camp in Switzerland to
complete the transfer.
The news comes a day after Real Madrid technical director
Jose Martinez Pirri and coach Vicente Del Bosque said the
Argentine international was not for sale.
Milan were reported to have had a previous bid of 2,800
million pesetas ($15.79 million) turned down by the European
champions earlier in the week.
RNE added that Redondo, 31, would earn around 800 million
pesetas a year in Italy, making him one of the best-paid players
in the world.

That would equal the salary Real Madrid are believed to be
paying Luis Figo, who became the world's most expensive player
on Monday when Real Madrid paid Barcelona 10,000 million pesetas
($56.1 million) for him.
Redondo, a pin-point passer, has played for Real Madrid for
six seasons. After starting his career with Argentinos Juniors,
he played for four years at Tenerife before moving to the
Spanish capital.
The headstrong player refused to play for three Argentine
coaches between 1994 and 1999 after falling out with former
coach Daniel Passarella over the length of his hair.
He made 184 Spanish league appearances for Real Madrid and
helped them to two Champions League titles but has failed to
score during the last three seasons.

In a telephone poll held by Spanish sports daily Marca on
Tuesday, nearly 82 percent of respondents said Redondo should
stay. News that he had signed caused protests by hundreds of
fans at the Bernabeu.
Sources close to Real Madrid's president Florentino Perez
said the sale was necessary to balance the books after Figo's
acquisition. Perez estimates that Real Madrid have debts of
around $250 million.
Bosnian international striker Elvir Balic, struggling with
injuries since his arrival at Real last summer, is also expected
to be sold soon.

This is even worse than the Judas-transfer cause Redondo didn´t want to leave. It was just for the financial compensation of the Judas signing.
The whole league loses a great player, I feel sorry for you.
I can only add that I feel ashamed to have such people in my beloved team's management.
