Dallas Burn defender Jorge 'Zarco' Rodriguez has joined Salvadoran club CD Aguila for a short loan deal before the start of the MLS season.
The El Salvador native played the full 90 minutes in his first match with the club, his second loan stint with Aguila, a 2-2 draw in a home and away semi-final series with Luis Angel Firpo. Last season, Zarco joined the team just in time help them to the El Salvador championship.
The second game is set for this weekend with the winner of the series advancing to the final to play the winner of the Alianza/Limeno semi-final.
Zarco, who's classified as a senior international, was a defensive anchor for the Dallas Burn, playing 24 matches, scoring six goals in the process.
Meanwhile, Burn midfielder Antonio Martinez is set to train with Mexican First Division side Chivas of Guadalajara.
Former Burn assistant and current Chivas assistant coach Carlos Cordoba reportedly set up the two-week training stint, for which Martinez will depart on Friday.
The former Cal State-Fullerton standout played 17 matches for Dallas in the 2001 season, his second in MLS, scoring one goal, although he set up another nine. In 2000, Martinez played two fewer matches, collecting two goals and setting up three others
