After last year's brilliant run where we reached the semi finals, Sporting is back in action in the Europa League once again to face Danish opposition before accessing the Group Stage.

This time we are facing AC Horsens, a mid-table team that last year had their best domestic run ever. Obviously this is a must win tie with hopefully a couple of wins to add points to Portugal's coefficient and increase Sporting's prestige in Europe.

Sá Pinto only took 18 players to Denmark and this is, according to UEFA.com, the line-up for the match which starts at 21:00 CET

Rui Patrício

Cedric - Boulahrouz - Marcos Rojo - Insúa

Elias - Adrien

Carrillo ---------- Schaars

van Wolfswinkel - Jeffrén

Subs: Marcelo Boeck, Daniel Carrico, Xandão, Gelson Fernandes, Diego Capel and Labyad.

Interesting changes in our line-up. It seems Sá Pinto is using this play-off to change the casting, let's see if he'll change the script.

Full on pressure from Sporting since kick-off and van Wolfs already missed an easy one on one with the keeper.

And at 15' it's 1-0 to Horsens by Spelmann after Insúa left his man run to the touchline and cross completely free. Poor defending.

Now Insúa almost redeemed himself with a superb rocket from an indirect freekick. The keeper saved though.

Sporting keeps pressing and creating chances. Just Adrien missed two in a row in the last minutes.

And we keep missing goal chances, this time Insúa heading over the crossbar a fairly easy chance.

Horsens 1-0 SPORTING at HT

A frustrating first half much in the line of what the team has been showing in this start of season upfront. A lot of ball possession, a fairly large amount of good goal chances created but a depressing lack of finishing.

Horsens were a bit lucky in getting a goal in one of the two good chances they've managed to create but that's football. I believe we will end up scoring in this match and probably we'll even win it but the problems are still there and the changes in the line-up promoted by Sá Pinto didn't change anything.

This is getting ridiculous now...Rojo has a goal bound header but the keeper must still now be wondering how he managed to save that.

Carrillo misses a sitter but Capel is already stirring things up

One more great save by their keeper after a rocket from Labyad. That kid is good.
