Does a person who attempts to go for UEFA coaching licenses (from 'C' to Pro level) require any sort of educational background or previous experience to do so? Or is it open for anyone who wants to be a coach and whether you did or didn't go to college isn't relevant?

Looking for answers on this matter on the web and I can't seem to find anything suggesting that you need a certain level of education at all. Or maybe they're just not stating that you need it because you're expected to have it anyways? I can't be sure.

I'm leaning towards no, you don't need it when considering how many ex-players with no education went on to become coaches at the highest level and easily managed to get licensed to do so. If anyone knows more about this matter, it'd be great to get some info and more insight on this topic. Cheers.

For professional clubs - yes a coach is required a "license" or a Degree

For example, Zidane wanted to coach Real team badly , but he did not have (graduated or passed the test) a diploma as coach

So he volunteered to coach Real B team now to get experience ...

No, you misunderstood my post. I'm not talking about coaching licenses, I realize every coach needs that if he wants to manage at higher levels of course. I meant whether it is necessary for a coach to have a certain educational background in order to go for them in order to do so or not (eg. does anyone who wants to coach need a college degree in sports management or something similar if they want to go for coaching licenses?). That's my question.

Not sure how the UEFA licenses work but if it is similar to the ones in the US then you just need to work your way up the hierarchy of licenses and the prerequisite coaching time (e.g. for a UEFA "A" you must have had your B and 3 years of coaching experience). I very much doubt you have to have any sort of college degree. Any type of professional playing experience might fast track you along the coaching licenses though.

you're right . I meant a couple of different licenses (with test scored in pro coaching class) along with Experiences (not required from college. university degree)
