A draw away to Fiorentina is a good result, but at the end of the night Fiorentina dropped 2 points! Partly it was Fiorentina's own fault as you guys should have attacked them and finished them off, but this draw is also partly to the absolute lack of fairplay by the frenchies
... and partly because what Pra had to put on the field to defend was Santana, Pazzini and Jorgy.
one thing to say, well two.

1. dirty cheating frenchies - SO worried about losing they had to use that to score...the fact he went off clearly shows a serious injury.

2. welcome to florence in a few weeks, lets ****ing hammer the *****!!!!!!!

FOOOOORRRZZZZZZZAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If Lyon didnt score that unfair goal, Fiorentina would have won hands down. They were getting so frustrated, the fans were on their backs, but that goal gave them confidence and fired up the crowd.

Anyway I think Fiorentina can still qualify, but getting 9 points from the 2 Steaua and the home game vs Lyon is a must and then anything taken from the Bayern games will be a bonus.

I hope that when Lyon play in Florence Boumsong gets injured right in their own area and you know sure as hell what Fiorentina will do then!
I think the "English" rule - that it is up to the referee to stop the game - is fair.
from ch4:
Frey punched away a Juninho free kick and Lyon got themselves back into the game on 73 minutes, but it was a controversial goal. Zauri was down injured in the box, but was still considered to be keeping substitute Piquionne onside when meeting Benzema's assist. Fiorentina were furious, especially as Zauri had to be stretchered off after several minutes of treatment to a suspected fractured cheekbone and substituted by Martin Jorgensen, as a scuffle broke out with a series of arguments.

that's really unfortunate :(
3 matches into the season, yet to win 1... forzaaaaaaaaaaaa

I haven´t seen the game, but according to what I read there, I blame the ref.

The ref level in Europe is worrying btw. I really don´t know if international refs are properly selected or what happens.
ac_milan_foreva You know nothing about France or french. You have no right to call them cheats. Its like others calling Italians cheats when they loose by contoversery against Juventus.

Lyon in France is more or less what Juventus is for Italy. Last week they earned points against Nice by cheating. Refs favor them always. Saint-Ettiene fans, Marseille fans all hate Lyon.
The whole of France hates Lyon.
and now the whole of wales does, ill make sure of that! :-D
so the goal was offside on top of that??
No Zauri was playing him on. It was amusing to see the defenders try and claim offside then think "Oh ****, forgot he was there", though.
oh right, i forgot the rule phasing out players when not influencial only applies to ATTACKING ones...
I´ve seen the highlights.

Big mistake by the ref; he should stop the game when Lyon had the ball in midfield just before the goal.
Because of that ****ing referi we cant go through this group!!!What if we be eliminated for just 2 points!?What than!We need to kill him
The weirderst thing is this was apparently the same ref who allowed the first goal for Holland agaisnt Italy in Euro 2008 - you know, when there was again an injured players counted as the one who was playing the scorer onside. Maybe it made some sense back then but from the descriptions of the goal in this thread I don't think it made any sense tonight - who the hell would fake an injury for so long?
If the other defenders had played instead going for an impossible off side the goal might have been avoided. A shame, though.
I wonder if the players knew zauri was down.

Anyway, situations like these should be avoided. I know it's technically allowed to play until the whistle, this is a special case when the offside system is being intered with. This can't continue to happen, it makes no sense. Either a rule has to be made, the ref has to be alert and use his own intuition in the situation, or the opposing team has to fair play it. None of these 3 scenarios happened and a stupid goal was scored.

If the Italian defenders knew Zauri was down though I guess we could say shame on them but the point is this situation isn't a reasonable one and is one where an adjustment is necessary....
Disgusting pieces of shit in French jerseys.

Great stuff for Gila!

I can't for the life of me wait for the game in Florence, it will be a bloodbath of epic proportions.

I can't believe how happy the French maggots were to have scored in that manner! ****ing hell. I've never been so disgusted by something in football before.
