Valencia would be great. I said it long before that Depor are not good enough for Dudu, who could easily handle one of the better teams in Spain. Valencia, traditionally a top-5 team (despite one bad season) would be ideal for him: a step forward, and because Hildebrand has not been that satisfactionary the chances are big Dudu will be the nr 1 in Valencia. I'd say he has to go for it: he would be nr 1 goalie in one of the best teams in the Spanish teams!

Any updates? I am getting worried. Dudu has been my favourite goalie in general since a while now, I know that sounds odd when there are the likes of Buffon and Casillas but Dudu is my favourite goalie. He was one of the reasons which got me really into supporting Israeli football. It would be so sad to see him without a club, he does not deserve this. He is damn capable of playing Champions League and now is struggling to find an employer?

Some ideas...

AC Milan: Didas best days are over, and Kalac isnt that reliable neither
Bayern: since Kahn retired, their new goalies are not that great and not experienced like Dudu who played weekly in La Liga
Valencia: their goalie is injury prone and often criticised

Just a few suggestions. One of my friends in Israel told me Beitar may want him, could be just a rumour though. However, he should play Champions League and not take a step down, otherwise he may lose his NT position to Davidovitch. I know the Norwegian league isnt that good and we already got Jarstein but he is unexperienced so I would LOVE to see Dudu at Rosenborg, but honestly he should play for a club playing Champions League or at least UEFA Cup. Even La Coruna was not the best he could get.

Well, Manua was the one to blame for that incident, I dont understand why Dudu gets victimised for it. After all he has done for the club, this is a stab in the back.

I agree he should stay in Spain or at least a league on par with the Spanish one. Any other league would be a step down, unless it is a team guaranteed to play in Europe every season. He is too good to play for some Dutch or Scottish team unless it is one that is guaranteed of a top3 finish and thus European exposure. I guess patience will be key, but meanwhile I wonder if Davidovitch is not ready to take over in the NT if Dudu cannot find a team very soon :(

The Monchengladbach offer sounds good. I fear in Valencia he may be benchwarming (even though IMO he is better than their current goalie) so this would hardly be progress.

It is a shame Depor treats him like dirt. He has done so many great things for them, the fans loved him, he feels at home in La Coruna and his family is happy there. Why does he have to be punished while this Manua guy was the one attacking him?? He should be the nr 1 in La Coruna, why he wants to stay at a club that shows no respect to him is something I dont understand.

I still hope he will be playing soon and stays nr 1 for Israel. I just like the guy, he is a very skilled goalie but he has this charisma that I like a lot. I know Davidovitch is a great goalie as well, but still, Dudu should be the nr 1 in usual circumstances (= if it wasnt for his club treating him without respect)

Ah yes, you are right, it was Nazareth Ilit. I should have remembered that about one of my favourite players. He also started his career with the Nazareth Ilit team (though moved to Haifa while being very young so we can say it was in Haifa his career really took off). I know he is married with two daughters but given his wifes name I doubted she would have been the French connection.

Both would be good options. The Spanish league is still amongst the top 3 leagues in Europe so any Primera Division team is actually quite good. He will play against top teams such as Real, Barcelona, Valencia etc, he will get exposure in full stadiums every week. Both Gijon and Mallorca are likely to give him full confidence as nr 1 goalie. So it seems he has got some good options and made the right choice after all to stay patient and wait for another Spanish club to sign for.

PS of course life in Mallorca is nicer than life in some random city away from the coast. I am sure the chicas at the beach would love Dudu (I know several female football fans who have the hots for him)

Great news, finally someone recognises his talent and offers him what he deserves: a long term contract and very likely the nr 1 jersey

Mallorca has a bad season but don't forget they played UEFA Cup a few times already so they are generally not a bad bet. Also, Depor has had their bad seasons and narrowly saved themselves. I am quite sure Mallorca will be buying more players and strengthen their team to survive in the Primera Division. And Dudu can definitely play his part in that, several Deportivo fans acknowledged how he played a big part in saving Depor during the one season when they had relegation worries.

My Spanish is a bit rusty, but does anyone understand the following article?
http://www.marca.com/edicion/marca/futbol/1a_division/mallorca/es/desarrollo/1195012.html

I just wonder if it says anything about how the Mallorca manager feels about Awat becoming the permanent nr 1? I guess if he does well while the previous nr 1 Moya is injured, he will stay in goal anyway. But did the manager want him with the intention to become the new nr 1 for the next years to come? I guess they did not just get him as temporary replacement of Moya, otherwise they would not give him a 4.5 years deal?

I just hope Moya won't get the benefit of the doubt once he is back, just because fans may like him as he is a Mallorca native. If the coach has a functioning brain, Dudu should be the nr 1 for the next seasons to come. He has long proven he is a reliable goalie that can win points for his team.

When will Dudu make his debut for Mallorca? The local pub here shows Spanish footie, I'd be keen on seeing the game. Dudu's my favourite goalie and played a large part in my growing interest in Israeli football, so I would love to see his moment of glory when he will show the world he is back in business :proud: Depor will soon enough realise what they lost!

While looking if there was an Israel football group on Facebook (there is, but is looks quite inactive :() I noticed a profile of Dudu Aouate. picture was clearly him, but the location set as "France" made me suspicious. But well, some football players (although mostly players known only locally and not internationally) do use facebook so, as it cannot do harm anyway, I added a friend request.

After approval and checking the profile: clearly fake. There is even some frame under the profile pic saying (translated from French) "text message to ... and give the code". Yeah right ... I immediatelly cancelled the "friendship", profile is fake. Probably one of the many jokers who act out as a famous person and mock at all people who believe it is really their favourite singer/sportsman/actor/... Would have been cool if it were really Dudu though, but I'd be surprised if he'd be on a networking site like that.

Well it is very unlikely that famous players like him would have a profile clearly open on internet.
Anyways, Aouate has French passport maybe that is why this person put France as country of origin.
This profile was clearly fake, not Dudu himself at all. It still said Deportivo La Coruna as employer, France as home location, and even said he was a University of la Coruna graduate. I am unsure about the latter but he moved to Spain at an age most people finished university already.

It clearly looks fake to me. If it were really Dudu himself, at least the name of his current club/employer would be up-to-date. I do like Facebook but it is quite easy to subscribe with a false name, I could just as well sign up and say that my name is Barack Obama or so ... The Aouate profile was clearly fake.

I wonder if any of the players has a profile that is actually real?
