I think you mean 11000 metres, or 11 KM.
Yeah metres, k next to the m on the keyboard. :howler:

That is nothing special for a footballer over 90 mins. Especially within a 15 minute break after 45 mins. I have run 11KM at the gym before and whilst i am slim-ish, im in bad shape compared to footballers.
I don't usually pay attention to stuff like that but don't most players come around at 8000m to 9000m at the end of CL games? I'll see if theres anything about it on uefa.com.

of course it's a lot, besides it's not only running he has to do during the course of the game. If i'm not mistaken Flamini has a worse average and he's a really energetic player that runs his socks off every game.

Yeah, but footballers sprint most of the time. If you can compare with that, man, you're in a great shape! :D

:D Well your right, I only jog at 10 km/h. I do it for half an hour, which means iv jogged 5kh in half an hour. That is nothing special by all means. Then I do weights which is kind of a break from cardio, then another half hour jog.

Which all means i jog 10 kms in an hour overall, with a small break in between. So for a footballer to do 11km in 90 mins surely is nothing special, but take away nothing from the Korean whose a great worker and an underated player skill wise too.

I have no idea how much other footballers do on average Vidic mate, iv never paid attention to that stuff either :D But when you think how they sprint some of the time, if you did some quick arithmetic you'd think the average player would be doing 15km in 90 mins?

But i guess a lot of the time footballers dont move at all, when the passage of play is away from their sphere of influence? And of course its one thing running on a treadmill with headphones on and another running with a ball and chasing Messi around :pp

I'd be interested to see how many kms Tevez did last night.

What were Tevez's distance stats? Seriously he was just a freak, so much for being tired huh?:D That was just unreal the amount of times he was closing in on players.

No wonder he becomes fans favourite wherever he goes. Legend.

I don't know how much distance Tevez covered last night, but Park was the player who ran most among Manchester United players - 11962m(11.9km) according to uefa. BTW team distance covered was 110.22km. I'm not sure, usually it depends on positon and tactics, but 9~10km is average for football players.

Anyway, all Koreans are excited that there maybe first Korean ever to win CL. :proud:

When Austria played Scotland a few years ago in Glasgow Wagner set a new national record covering more than 13 km, so I guess the "world record" will be about 14 km within 90 minutes.

Running on a treadmill is easier than running on the ground, so it wasn't a true 11km

Running on a treadmill is harder because it is boring as f*ck.
