This has been a topic we have talked about recently,but since I knew that R9 could not be back in the new year,but in the 2001/02 season,I seriously think again this question!Do we need salas?!

I've already said in many occasions that I'd like Salas to come,but not really a matter as I thought R9 could be back in the new year,but now we could only see R9 in the 01/02 season,so could we live with the attack of Recoba,Vieri,Sukur and Bam Bam?As we all know the schedual of next season will be a lot tighter!And Vieri's injury porn is high,Chino still lacks a bit of consistency,if they can't do the job,can we count on Sukur and Bam Bam?!I have doubts about that!So I think we need Salas more now as R9 bad news broke our!I don't know if Moratti still wants to hunt him now,but I hope he does!

Personally I think we do need Salas. I have no faith in Sukur and I think we all know Bam bam's past his best.

Recoba is still erratic and Vieri is one of the most injury prone players in the history of the game. Ronaldo even if he comes back in the 2001/02 season most likely won't be the same player.

I don't think Inter have the forwards to last through the Champions league, Serie A and Coppa Italia. I think Lippi sees that which is why he's publicly said he wants to sign Salas.

I expect to see him in Inter's no. 11 shirt next year, hopefully getting plenty of games with Vieri. I'd also recomend Inter sign a young italian striker (or bring in a youth player) to compensate for SA World cup qualifiers.
