Didn't know where to put this, but since this was the last place tennis was discussed:

Croatia is the only nation with 2 tennis players in world’s top 15 :proud::D

Coric just beat Federer and is now playing Djokovic in the finals of the masters. Whether intentionally or not Coric has certainly patterned his game after Djokovic and has finally broken through towards the top rankings. I expect Djokovic to win but hope Coric can put in a good match.

previously, i wasn't overly convinced with Coric... he seemed to be just a defensive baseliner with no real weapons but he was really good in Shanghai... served well and was strong in the rallies... a bit more consistency and limiting his errors and he should give the other 20-25 year olds (Zverev, Tsitsipas, Kyrgios etc.) a run for their money over the next few years

that said, the present still belongs to Nole

Yeah that was Coric on his way up. A very consistent returner with no big serve, a relatively weak forehand and a great backhand which is considered his best shot. He was on his way up and I felt confident he was going to break through into the top 20's or something. But it seemed his performances started to dip and along with a string of injuries it looked like that wasn't going to happen. I even gave up on him. But it's obvious the whole time he was struggling to win because he was going through changes in his game. We're starting to see it pay off. His serve has improved massively, his forehand is finally starting to look like a solid shot, and he's once again looking consistent. He absolutely smashed Federer the other day. Djokovic is another animal, a defensive beast. Coric gave it to him a few times, but all it takes is a few errors to give the match away, eg: that missed volley in the first game of the second set that gave the break to Djokovic. Can't allow that to happen.

Oh well that was his first Masters finals. I hope he continues on this path. Btw, fuk Zverev.

Zverev has the potential to be anything... unfortunately, he seems to have decided to be a c*%#

He is an outright kunt. You know I'm no big Djokovic supporter but when it comes to Zverev and previously Murray I have no problem with him putting the beatdown on them. Btw Coric always beats Zverev just wanted to point that out.

Djoković is the ultimate modern, patriotic and tolerant Serb. We can all learn from him.
