Zenit plays better then Russia.C'mon, without Hiddink Russia wouldn't have qualified for EURO 2008.
Good for Advocaat he has succes with Zenit.
In Holland he still has a bad name because of EURO 2004.
Not really fair because he brought us to the semi-finals then.
With a lot of luck that is, but it's still the result that counts in the end.
If were talking about Dutch top coaches, this would be my top 3.
1. Guus Hiddink
2. Leo Beenhakker
3. Dick Advocaat
Gazprom was always Gazprom...sponsor zenit since a long time because the headquarters are in st.petersburg.Remember when CSKA won the UEFA Cup? That was Sibneft sponsoring them, now known as Gazprom.
So far in Russia, yesd though is more difficult to work in a national team then in a club.:googly:
How will Uefa do btw?Zenit is qualified for champions league next season, schalke is on his way......same sponsor can not play both in the same competition. It's strange though.
Schalke also are sponsored by Gazprom and they've hardly spent a penny despite having one of the biggest sponsorship deals in Europe.
Well Zenit»Australia....Advocaat will only go coach Australia nt for money.Hiddink > Advocaat
-Hiddink has much more success in his career.
-Hiddink handles the media way better.
-Hiddink can make any team perform above their level, Advocaat can only perform with good players and money.
-Hiddink has ethics, Advocaat ditched Australia NT for money in Russia.
Feyenoord......back in 2002.Not only does Advocaat have a bit of Hiddink in him, but I'd also say Wenger.
Can anyone remember seeing a side play so fluidly as Zenit? some of the combinations you saw in the earlier roundsroud:
