Haven't really kept up with the club news since the season ended but today the fixture list came out. Derby open the season at home on August 3 against Blackburn Rovers. They face Oldham Athletic in the league cup a few days later. The first Forest derby is on September 28 at the City Ground with the return fixture coming March 22.

Derby start their pre-season on June 27 and the pre-season prep includes a trip to Ireland. As usual the final pre-season match will be against Premier League opposition at home.

Two more pre-season matches were played this week. First was a crazy game against Port Vale which Derby won 5:3 and today they beat Bristol Rovers 2:0

Similar problems as the last 1-2 seasons, conceding late goals to throw away points. First league game ends in a 1:1 draw with Blackburn.

Though to be fair a draw was a fair result

Hammering 3:0 loss at home to Burnley to wipe away all those good feelings going into the international break. Derby fall to 14th in the table but still early days

Two goals by Russell which gives Derby a 2:2 draw at Bolton, pretty disappointing not to take the full three points against the bottom team in the league

Derby host Reading on Saturday, a real good test to see if Derby will have realistic promotion hopes

had to make hard work just to get a point at home to Ipswich. Ipswich scored two early goals and were up 4:1 at halftime but Derby score three unanswered goals in the second half.

Derby are 14th, well ahead of the bottom feeders for now who are really struggling
