This Del Piero is very reminiscent of Paolo Rossi in the early 80's before the 82 world cup. He was "a ghost of his former self" (La Gazzetta dello Sport), and no one belived in him. Except Enzo Bearzot (see Dino Zoff). After three horrible group games, Del Piero will find his form, and lead Italia to their fourth World Cup.
