In an interview to the Italian press agency ADN-Kronos,Crespo has said himself "happy to have signed for the Italian Champions of Lazio". According to the press agency the deal has been struck on the basis of 125 billions liras: Almeyda and Sergio Conceicao move to Parma for sure while the remaining money may be given cash or covered by the transfer of Salas (in this case it would be Parma to give some cash to Lazio).

No club has given official confirmation yet.

No seriously; If Lazio lands Crespo in this hugely fantastic deal for Parma it must be either Salas (who would be too much of an excess player with Crespo, Lopez, Inzaghino in the squad) or Angel with whom Lazio has relations.

I have to see some confirmation on this before believing it though. Laio would be royally screwed over if this was true. Do you realise that the total costs of this is 55-60 mill.$ (according to my thump calculations that is).
Vieri cost 50 as I recall it and the $ has gone up considerably since then. It would be REDICULOUS. Having said that it would suit me JUST FINE if this was to happen .

For the record, I think this deal is a good one as midfield was such a weak spot for us last season.

I think a good bid would to Roma would allow us to put our hands on Montella.They would probably play it hard asking for Cannavaro but I dont think they would resist too much on a 20 million $ bid.Other strikers who are leaving their clubs and would have interest at joining Parma...let me think.Juve is getting Milosevic or Trezeguet so the other is available.Of course there is always the possibility of a South American guy like Franca or Angel...Kluivert is also leaving Barca but I doubt he would agree to join Parma because we are not in the CL.I dont know who we can get but there are many options..they arent as good as Crespo of course but with Amoroso back to his old self (I hope) there wont be a problem.

i read from laziomania that nothing has been reached..infact, lazio has turned to crespo since vieri is not going to move. it said that the process of getting crespo is taken in baby steps so its not near done. i know almeyda would be gone, but conceicao is not going anywhere until lazio has a great backup to take his place. since lazio is still trying to get figo or overmars, this deal with parma is not done. i also read that salas' agent went to south america to convince him to join parma.

This is NOT yet a done dealm, like ARGENTINA said Lazio is first looking for a replacement for conceicao before they sell him, Figo, Overmars(very bad at the right wing)
Torricelli and Moriero had all been named...
If they find a replacement i think the deal is pretty done.

I don't think Salas is that bad he scored quit alot of goals
over 2 years, i think 25 or something like that, ok he is not as good as Crespo but we also have Bonazzoli, Di Vaio and Mboma ready to take his place

Stanic is quit similair as Mboma in attack, as a winger we are going to sign Lamouchi.

Like glen siad this would be a great deal, we need Almeyda badly, Conceicao is a real good backup and would provide pressure on Vanoli, Fuser, Salas or Angel are in my opinion great 'young' Strikers that would fit in good in the sqaud.
Salas is worth 15 million $(if not more)
Conceicao is worth 20 million $(if not more)
Almeyda is worth 15 million $(if not more)


I just heard that Kluivert might move to Juventus for only
12 million euro's this is crazy, so cheap for 1 of the best

I am not sure if you peole are happy about this move or not...whatever the case it is not finallized... I read this deal and realized that Kluivert price is said to be 13 million pound or even less...this would then be a great deal for Parma but I don't believe it untill I see him put on the jersey...But if it is true congrats to your managers b/c this would be a fantastic deal both monetarily and player wise

Not a done deal yet, but if and when it´s a done deal it will be a reason to laugh just like it was when Vieri was sold to Parma.

The only good thing about this deal is that Lazio will get 1) a very good striker 2) a very good partner to Veron and a reason for him to shut his fxxking mouth and stop bitching.

Conceciao was bought for 1 reason and that reason was his amazing crosses, he´s also a good dribbler and a very speedy player. To me he is a great wing because he stays on his wing no but seriously there are many players that are forced to play on the wings and are not very happy to do so and therefore they tend to wander into the middle of the field. Conceciao stays on the wing ( even if he can play more central ) and guards the right side of the field ( he was even used as a defender in portugals game against Turkey ).

I can not belive that Lazio will go through with this deal but if they do - congratulate Tanzi and Parma and I´m semi happy because atleast the players stick with a team I support.

This season will be the season of Parma and a strong midfield ( 2/4s x Lazio ) will make sure that Parma won´t have any collapses like last season

As for Lazio - the players can be replaced but the mindframe of the people with power at Lazio must be questioned !! learn from Juventus !!! what signals are Lazio sending out when they are paying alien sums of money for players ??

I don´t know why Cragnotti feels that Crespo is worth Almeyda + Conceciao but I´m sure that he´ll never learn and that Lazio will end up like Inter - laughed at

I still think we'll get the better part of the deal.Esepcially if we get money and not Salas.
