This one should be the easiest game right now, even easier than the game against Atalanta, who have become a bit tougher since the coach Delio Rossi joined them.
Chievo are not the last club in serie A but they gained 12 points in the first 6 games and now they have just 28 points, so they gained just 16 points in the last 20 games, just 1 point more than Atalanta, who gained 15 points in the last 20 games (but 7 points in the last 4 games for the Orobici).
That said, we must not underrate any opponent.
Chievo missed the duo at midfield in the last game (defeat at Granillo), since both Baronio and Brighi were banned. Tiribocchi will replace them in the list of the banned players.
The probable lineup of Chievo could be:

--------------Marchegiani
Moro----Mandelli-----D'Anna---Lanna
Semioli---Brighi-------Baronio---Luciano
---------Pellissier----Cossato

Tiribocchi has impressed me in the couple of games I saw him this season. Very tough, hard to push off the ball, powerful, fast and he possess a good accurate shot (hit the post against Inter I think twice with Toldo beaten) and a decent footballing brain. Luciano is I'm sure everyone one is aware is a threat as well though not sure of his form at the moment. It'll be tough but a game Sampdoria should be able to win.

Samp=-too much for poor Chievo. Chievo lost 1 nil to Reggina last week posting no attack at all.

This is too easy. Sure up that 3-2 comeback defense and you will be fine.

Mmmm... Pulsar, there is no pushover in serie A. :) Underrating the opponent is always a risk.

Toni, I don't know how long our nonni's defence is going to be able to hang on out their :stress:

P.S. Anyway, regardless of Samp vs Milan, Samp right now are playing well

I'm a bit more confident just cause you'll miss Sheva (even if I'm not happy about his injury, of course), who has often been our bugbear in the previous games.

That's what I meant, plus we will be facing United next wendsday.

Anyway, you lot got to face Chievo first, then we'll see.

Forza Nonni make us proud :proud: :lala: :proud:

I suspect that Chievo's high-flying heyday in Serie A is coming to an end. They've been able to stay in the top division (and doing really well I might add) for longer than I'd expected, but for a club like them nothing lasts forever. Their good years are behind them and I'd be surprised to see them around in a year or two. But, as Toni says, there is never any room for underestimating your opponent, so we should be cautious. We are better, but we are not a top club yet, despite our league position.

All the North of Italy is covered with snow... and Genova in particular, according to the news. The players of Sampdoria trained anyhow  while those of Genoa CFC preferred to watch one porn movie of the formidable Cosmi's collection.

Briefly: during the travel back from Vicenza where Genoa had conceded a late goal and the draw, Serse Cosmi has decided that his players needed a porn movie to cheer themselves up and so they watched it on the bus.

The referee will be again Dondarini!!!

Hey, Pairetto and Bergamo, what is this??? There are 40 referees and we get every two weeks the same fool. :wth:

Well, we are again under "Dondarini effect" that means: everything is possible. Maybe he sends off two players of Chievo or maybe he books all our players who risk the ban.

There were problems with the heavy snowfal during the week, but the snow was shovelled away and if it does not snow any more the game will be played regularly.
I hope so, tomorrow I can watch the game... on another day who knows!

Our formidable team will be complete. Just "Sacco" and Inzaghi, both recovering from aches and pains, are doubtful.
Probable lineup: Antonioli - Zenoni, Castellini, Falcone, Pisano - Diana, Volpi, Palombo, Tonetto - Flachi, Kutuzov.

As regards Chievo the good news regard Cossato, who has not recovered from a light injury and will miss the game. I considered him the main threat. he will be replaced by the Brazilian Amauri, who scored in the last season at Bentegodi... but just cause he was marked (?) by Carrozzieri.
